TNC's 'SONGS OF THE HARLEM RIVER' Showcases Black Women Writers This Month

While the nation transitions from Black History Month to Women's History Month, Theater for the New City is presenting an evening of one-act plays from the Harlem Renaissance, including four by women and a fifth focusing on women's right to vote.

Exoneree Fernando Bermudez Attends Play Based on His Life, PEDRO CASTILLO IS INNOCENT, at TNC

Back in 1992, Fernando Bermudez, a Washington Heights resident, was convicted of a homicide that occurred in Greenwich Village. Eyewitnesses recanted soon after, but he remained in prison. Bermudez was exonerated in 2009, after serving nearly 18 years, going on to win the biggest settlement for an exoneree in the history of New York State. Another event in Bermudez's journey occurred just a few days ago.

West End's WICKED to Welcome Mark Curry as Newest Wizard in March

WICKED, the West End musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, is pleased to announce that the actor and presenter Mark Curry will play The Wizard from 25 March 2016. Tom McGowan will play his final performance as The Wizard on 12 March 2016. From 14-24 March 2016, the role will be played by Sean Kearns.
