While the nation transitions from Black History Month to Women's History Month, Theater for the New City is presenting an evening of one-act plays from the Harlem Renaissance, including four by women and a fifth focusing on women's right to vote.

Casting has been announced for the first ever national tour of Torben Betts's INVINCIBLE, directed by Christopher Harper. The full cast includes Alastair Whatley as Oliver, Emily Bowker as Emily, Graeme Brookes as Alan and Kerry Bennett as Dawn.

On March 24th 2016 The Hippodrome are excited to be introducing an all new improv Supergroup, featuring the mega-talents of Josie Lawrence (Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Comedy Store Players), Cariad Lloyd (Austentatious), Pippa Evans & Ruth Bratt (Showstopper!).

Back in 1992, Fernando Bermudez, a Washington Heights resident, was convicted of a homicide that occurred in Greenwich Village. Eyewitnesses recanted soon after, but he remained in prison. Bermudez was exonerated in 2009, after serving nearly 18 years, going on to win the biggest settlement for an exoneree in the history of New York State. Another event in Bermudez's journey occurred just a few days ago.

WICKED, the West End musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, is pleased to announce that the actor and presenter Mark Curry will play The Wizard from 25 March 2016. Tom McGowan will play his final performance as The Wizard on 12 March 2016. From 14-24 March 2016, the role will be played by Sean Kearns.

Alan Dershowitz, one of the nation's best known attorneys, will speak to the audience of Pedro Castillo is Innocent at Theater for the New City after the Feb. 7 show.

The Original Theatre Company and Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds will present the first national tour of Torben Betts's INVINCIBLE, directed by Christopher Harper. The tour will begin at the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds on 30 March.

Maggie Ollerenshaw (Open All Hours, Coronation Street) and Daniel Weyman (Foyles War) will join Alistair McGowan in the UK premiere of Peter Quilter's 4000 DAYS, directed by Matt Aston (Bomber's Moon) at Park Theatre from 14 January - 13 February, with a press night on 19 January.  Check out a sneak peek below!
