Premium network EPIX today announced that season 2 of the espionage drama Deep State will premiere on April 28 at 9 PM ET/PT. Paul Taylor-Mills has announced Night Caps, an informal late-night concerts series as part of MT Fest UK at The Other Palace. Josh O'Connor and Marion Bailey have joined the Netflix drama, The Crown for season 3. The actors will take over the central roles of Prince Charles and the Queen Mother as the series recasts its stars for the next two seasons.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Erin Doherty (Call the Midwife) will play the daughter of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip in the Netflix drama. The series, which was created by Peter Morgan and hails from Sony Pictures Television Studios, is currently filming its third season that is set to debut in 2019.

The urge to present state-of-the-nation plays following the Brexit vote is understandable, even vital, but has produced decidedly mixed results.
