The Old Globe's 2020 Summer Season brings to Balboa Park an extraordinarily talented group of artists who will delight audiences with their unique takes on four great works of theatre. The season incudes a classic American musical, a new adaptation of a 20th century thriller, and two of Shakespeare's masterworks on our outdoor stage.

America's favorite dance show is going back on tour this winter with “Dancing with the Stars – Live Tour 2020,” featuring celebrity guests from the 2019 season of “Dancing with the Stars.” The cast of celebrities includes newly crowned Mirrorball champion Hannah Brown from “The Bachelorette,” pop star Ally Brooke, country artist Lauren Alaina, comedian and actor Kel Mitchell, “The Office” actress Kate Flannery and model Sailor Brinkley-Cook. Each night, one or more of these celebrities will be joining the show to wow live audiences across the country by performing fan-favorite routines from this past season. The longest tour to date will be kicking off Jan. 9 in Richmond, Virginia.

An awe-inspiring evening of mentorship and musicianship awaits as two special guest artists join the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) Symphony Orchestra for a performance of Brahms' Double Concerto at the upcoming Winter Concert. Both principal musicians of Pacific Symphony, Dennis Kim (concertmaster) and Warren Hagerty (recently appointed principal cello) also have a connection to OCSA.
Rome Ramirez of Sublime With Rome announces the Rome & Duddy - Friends & Family co-headline tour with Duddy of Dirty Heads today. The two well known artists will be touring the U.S. with support from Micah Brown starting February 25th in Midland, TX and ending on March 19th in Nashville, TN. The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will begin previews for the MOBILE UNIT's production of Shakespeare's MEASURE FOR MEASURE on Monday, November 18. Directed by LA Williams, the free sit-down run of MEASURE FOR MEASURE follows a three-week tour to the five boroughs that brought Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts. MEASURE FOR MEASURE will run through Sunday, December 8 with an official press opening on Friday, November 22.

Midsommer Flight's popular perennial intimate production of Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT, performed alley style amid the flowers of the Lincoln Park Conservatory's beautiful Show House Room, will return with a new cast for its fifth year. Performances will be December 5 a?" 22, 2019. Midsommer Flight company member Dylan S. Roberts, who earned raves for his staging of the company's 2017 production, will return to helm the 2019 edition.
