“Love is love is love” in TURN TO FLESH PRODUCTIONS (TTF) presentation of Juliet and Her Romeo—Emily C. A. Snyder's vibrant retelling of Shakespeare's most famous love story.

The full cast is today announced for the return of Tim Cowbury's The Claim at Shoreditch Town Hall following its debut sell-out run in 2018. Mark Maughan directs Nick Blakeley (A), Tonderai Munyevu (Serge) and Indra Ové (B). The production opens on 20 February, with previews from 18 February and runs until 7 March.

This February, rising indie Shakespeare company Match: Lit brings to its audience one of William Shakespeare's best-loved comedies in As You Like It. The production is directed by Laurel Andersen (Barefoot Shakespeare, Occupy Verona, Turn To Flesh Productions) and is produced by Match: Lit's Executive Artistic Director, Kristin Sgarro, who also serves as the production's composer and musical director. The production will open Thursday, February 13 and close Sunday, February 23.

Previews begin at the Mezzanine Theatre at A.R.T./New York Theatres 502 West 53rd Street (10th Avenue & 53rd Street) tomorrow night, Tuesday, January 14th at 7pm with an official opening on Thursday, January 23rd at 8pm. Opera Santa Barbara returns to the Four Seasons Biltmore for its annual Opera Gala. The company will honor the dedication and contributions of philanthropists Sarah and Roger Chrisman to Santa Barbara's local performing arts organizations. Opera SB's Chrisman Studio Artist program is named in recognition of their support.

Today, the Iowa-born, Nashville-based singer and songwriter Hailey Whitters announced her highly anticipated new album The Dream will be released on February 28, 2020. Midsommer Flight has announced the five theater professionals who will participate in the inaugural session of the company's new 'Directors Flight' initiative. Announced in fall 2019, Directors Flight is a program with the goal of promoting, cultivating, and inspiring classical directing talent in Chicago. The announcement last fall included a call for applications to participate. Instead of a tuition-based model, Midsommer Flight has opted to pay each selected director a small fellowship stipend for their participation.

The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival has a - slightly - new name: Bridgehampton Chamber Music. Long Island's longest-running classical music festival is streamlining its name to include all its activities: the summer festival, the spring series, and the recording label.

Beatrice and Benedick hate each other so much - they must be in love! With an opening night benefitting the Franklin Reformed Church, this classic premiers on Feb 7th at 8pm, with performances on Feb. 8, 14, 15, 20, 21 & 22 at 8 pm; Feb. 9, 16 & 22 at 2 pm.

Shakespeare Theatre Company has announced casting for Artistic Director SIMON GODWIN's directorial debut at the Theatre-a restaging of his recent acclaimed production of Timon of Athens, a co-production with Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA), produced in association with The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). Timon of Athens will be onstage at the Michael R. Klein Theatre at the Lansburgh starting February 20 and running until March 22, 2020.
