In response to a clamour of public demand, Queen star Brian May and singing sensation Kerry Ellis today announced they are teaming up once more for a new series of UK concerts at the end of the year. May and Ellis will play 11 shows across the country in the lead-up to Christmas. Their Candlelit Christmas Tour kicks off on 7 December in Dorking, with the final date on 23 December in Guildford. The concerts mark the pair's sixth tour together since their first 'Anthems' shows in 2011, which they performed on the release of Kerry's first album, produced by Brian.

A new entertainment by Michael Wynne, The Star, will mark Liverpool Playhouse's 150th anniversary this Christmas in honour of its origins as a Music Hall venue. Directed by Philip Wilson, the production will feature Michael Starke. At the Everyman Associate Director Nick Bagnall's effervescent take on The Two Gentlemen of Verona sets the action in a colourful and musical 1960s. Desmond Barrit will appear alongside Maggie Steed as Mrs Malaprop in Sheridan's elegant comedy of manners The Rivals at the Playhouse.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF invites the Central Florida community to a special production of William Shakespeare's comedy, Two Gentlemen of Verona performed by the Shakespeare with Heart company. Smitten lovers, Crab the Dog and swing dancers collide in this year's Shakespeare in Clark Park (SCP) production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona. The classic romantic comedy is being brought to life by Kathryn MacMillan (Lantern Theater Company) and will once again showcase SCP's unique blend of classic storytelling and community engagement. The Two Gentlemen of Verona opens under the stars in 'the Bowl' of Clark Park on July 27 and runs through July 31. All performances are at 7 p.m.
