Exeter Northcott Theatre is delighted to announce its exciting autumn 2016 season. This season the theatre has cut its £2 transaction booking fee. Instead, customers who want their tickets posted will be asked to pay a small charge to cover postage costs. 

On May 4, the 2016 Tony nominees flocked to the Paramount Hotel, where they met with the press for the first time since getting the big news. It's finally summer in Minnesota, and that means lakes, parks, camping, hiking, and best of all - summer theater! You can't spend every moment of the summer outdoors, because you wouldn't want to get a sunburn, and also sometimes it rains. So take a break from outdoor activities to see some great theater this summer (or watch theater outdoors!). Here are a few of your choices for summer theater playing on stages and in parks around Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding area.

Nearly five years to the day that the legendary BLACK SABBATH announced they would be reforming, the band will play their last show EVER in the U.S.November 12 at AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX. 

This summer INDEPENDENT SHAKESPEARE CO. presents an electrified interpretation of Shakespeare's indelible anti-hero, RICHARD III, featuring David Melville as Richard and directed by Independent Shakespeare Co.'s Artistic Director, Melissa Chalsma. RICHARD III will begin previews at THE GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL on Saturday, June 25 at 7pm and will open on Thursday, June 30 at 7:00pm and perform through Sunday, July 24 at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park.  All ISC Summer Shakespeare productions are FREE to the public!  RICHARD III is the first of two productions being presented at this year's GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL. THE TEMPEST will play July 30 - September 4.

As one third of the Schuyler sisters, Renee Elise Goldsberry has become one of the most popular ladies on Broadway, and the Tonys agree that the HAMILTON star's performance is extraordinary. She just picked up a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical and she couldn't be happier about it!

It's been a big day for Jim Breuer and the Loud & Rowdy. Following an appearance on Howard Stern, Jim has just premiered a new video for the track “Old School” on VICE's Noisey.

This summer the Festival will present Shakespeare's beloved comedy The Two Gentlemen of Verona, which gives us some of the Bard's most memorable and hilarious moments. Proteus has a devoted best friend and a girlfriend who adores him, but all that changes when he meets Sylvia. Cross-dressing, music, outlaws, broken hearts, and a scene-stealing dog make this one of Shakespeare's most delightful comedies.

Now in its 12th season, Hawaii Performing Arts Festival has garnered great acclaim for its world-class performances on the Big Island each summer. This year will be no exception for the festival, as the season kicks off with An Evening At the Stork Club, starring Justin John Moniz, Ashley Lambert, and David Castillo.

Kimber Lee's beautiful drama tokyo fish story, directed by May Adrales, opens today, June 2 at The Old Globe. The production runs through June 26, 2016, in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $29.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of the first offering in the 2016 Summer Shakespeare Festival: William Shakespeare's thrilling classic Macbeth, directed by Brian Kulick, Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company and a leading Shakespearean expert. The so-called "Scottish Play" will run June 19 - July 24, 2016, in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. Previews run June 19 - 24. Opening night is Saturday, June 25 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets start at $29, on sale now to the general public.

During a recent tour stop at Italy's Arena di Verona, superstar Adele stopped her show in order to call out a fan in the audience who was recording her live concert.

This is a first for Australian ballet lovers! The Friends of The Australian Ballet are delighted to announce the Australian Premiere screening of the Royal Ballet's new production of FRANKENSTEIN at Verona Palace Cinema.

Kenneth Branagh and Rob Ashford direct Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, the penultimate show of the Branagh Company's year long residency at the Garrick Theatre. This well-known cast includes Richard Madden, Lily James, Derek Jacobi and Meera Syal.

On Monday night 5/23, Alvin Ing performed at The Duplex Theatre in GOT A LOT OF LIVIN' TO DO - written, produced and directed by Lainie Sakakura, filled the house with tears and laughter as Mr. Ing shared his story throughout the night.

Today Jim Breuer has released his first musical full-length, Songs From The Garage, via Metal Blade Records.

National Theatre Wales' next production, Before I Leave, by Patrick Jones and directed by Matthew Dunster (who directed the multi-award-winning Mametz for NTW in June 2014), begins today, 27 May. It features covers of well-known songs by artists ranging from Tom Jones to the Sex Pistols, plus a new song by Nicky Wire and James Dean Bradfield of Manic Street Preachers, and will be performed at the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff.

Complemented by Musical Director Ryan T. Nelson, six-time Jeff Award Winner Nick Bowling (The King and I at The Marriott Theatre, The History Boys and Fiorello! at TimeLine Theatre) presents a unique production of the classic tale, bringing to life the parallels between the struggles of 16th Century Spain with the challenges of modern day society.
