Folger Theatre's 2016/17 season kicks off with an inspired stage adaptation of one of literature's most cherished novels, Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen.

Tony Award winner Renee Elise Goldsberry, who recently left Broadway's hit musical HAMILTON, performed "America the Beautiful" at the start of Saturday's Women's Finals of the 2016 U.S. Open.

It's an emotional day for America, especially for New York City, and it felt all the more poignant when Tony Award Winner Renee Elise Goldsberry sang 'America the Beautiful' to start the Women's Finals at the U.S Open.

Today Norm Lewis, joined by the US Marine Corps performed the 'Star Spangled-Banner' ahead of the US Open men's final and we've got the video!. 

Today at 4pm on ESPN, Norm Lewis will perform the 'Star Spangled-Banner' ahead of the US Open men's final. He also will be joined by the United States Marine Corps for the traditional unfurling of the court-sized flag during the performance. Broadway is all over the sports world this weekend, with a performance yesterday by Renee Elise Goldsberry, and also today by Kristin Chenoweth on Sunday Night Football.

Two River Theater presents August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, directed by Ruben Santiago-Hudson. The production will run tonight, September 10, through October 9, 2016, with the opening night on Friday, September 16 at 8pm.

Following the great success of 2015's Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare's Globe returns to Exeter Northcott Theatre, this time with its acclaimed Two Gentlemen of Verona, running Thu 8 - Sun 11 September 2016.

Hidden from view, the troves of masterpieces waiting within museum archives can only be guessed at, but this fall Robert Mann Gallery is lifting the velvet rope. The gallery is pleased to announce Treasure Rooms, a body of work from Mauro Fiorese, the artist's debut exhibition in the United States. In this ongoing series Fiorese grants a glimpse into the unseen depths of some of Italy's most prominent museums including the Uffizi Gallery and the National Gallery of Modern Art. This exhibition opens on September 8th and will be on view through October 22nd.

 The American Dance Guild Fall Performance Festival will return October 14-16 to the 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Center, 1395 Lexington Avenue, NYC, in a weekend tribute to legendary modern dancer, choreographer and avant-garde theater director Jean Erdman in honor of her centenary. Jean Erdman explored archetypal themes in dance and theater in collaboration with her husband, mythologist Joseph Campbell, forming one of the dance world's most inspiring artistic relationships. 

4TH WALL THEATRE opens its 20th anniversary season with the Broadway classic, Guys and Dolls in concert. The show features music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. The story is based on 'The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown' and 'Blood Pressure' - two short stories by Damon Runyon, and also borrows characters and plot elements from other Runyon stories - most notably 'Pick the Winner.' The show has a limited run of September 30, and October 1, 2 at the Westminster Arts Center in Bloomfield.

La Jolla Playhouse presents Tiger Style!, by La Jolla native Mike Lew, directed by Playhouse Associate Artistic Director Jaime Castañeda, running tonight, September 6, through October 2 (press opening: Wed, September 14 at 7:00pm) in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre.

It's another sad day at Hamilton, as tonight the cast will wish au revoir to Tony winner Renee Elise Goldsberry, who will play her final performance as Angelica Schuyler. In honor of her last performance, we've collected some of our favorite moments of the star in action below!

Bryant Park Presents Shakespeare, part of the Bryant Park Presents series of free performances in the iconic park, concludes its 2016 season with a new production of Measure for Measure, produced by The Drilling Company (of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot fame) and directed by the company's Producing Artistic Director, Hamilton Clancy ('Orange Is the New Black,' 'Billions').

WAM Theatre has announced the cast for the last of their 2016 Fresh Takes Play Reading Series, Grand Concourse by Heidi Schreck, directed by Sheila Siragusa. The reading will take place on Sunday, September 11 at 3 pm at No. Six Depot Roastery and Cafe, 6 Depot Street in West Stockbridge, MA.

Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC) will honor Javier Muñoz, Broadway star in the lead role in 'Hamilton: An American Musical,' with the 2016 Howard Ashman Award, for his activism in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Cal State Fullerton's 2016-2017 season opens with the 2003 Pulitzer Prize winner Anna in the Tropics, written by Nilo Cruz, directed by Fidel Gomez and runs September 23-October 9, 2016 in the Young Theatre on campus.

Burning Coal Theatre Company will open its 20th season in Raleigh, North Carolina with David Hare's Skylight, a love story about a brashly swaggering, politically conservative middle-aged businessman in the hotels and restaurants trade who stumbles back into the life of a progressive-minded, younger woman with whom he had a tempestuous affair years  before.  The play will run Thursdays through Saturdays, Oct. 6-9, 13-15 and 20-22, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays, October 9, 16, and 23, 2016 at 2 p.m. Performances will take place at Burning Coal's Murphey School Auditorium, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC 27604.
