Ghostlight Records will celebrate the release of the Original Cast Recording of Barry Wyner's new musical CALVIN BERGER with a concert at Joe's Pub the evening before the release - next Monday, September 24, 2012 at 7pm. Just added to the concert lineup are Curt Hansen (Next to Normal), F. Michael Haynie (Dogfight), Hayley Podschun (Chaplin), and Tony nominee Tim Jerome (Tarzan, Me and My Girl). RLTP Now Accepting Submissions for Buffalo Young Writers Contest

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) today announced it is accepting submissions for its fourth annual Buffalo Young Writers (BYW) contest; RLTP also indicated that, this year, it will be extending a call-for-work to students between the ages of 15 and 23 currently enrolled in Western New York (WNY) schools. (Previously, only WNY students ages 17 to 22 were invited to submit.) As in past years, local students are encouraged to write a ten-minute play; one grand-prize winner (selected by RLTP) will receive $250 and see his or her play produced at the Road Less Traveled Theater. Four runners up will also receive readings of their submissions, as well as complementary tickets to RLTP shows.

On Thursday, June 28th, Los Angeles theatre lovers were given a gift of a very rare and unique experience that took them back in time, when the Broadway theatre scene in downtown Los Angeles used to rival that of New York's Great White Way. An eclectic list of Hollywood representatives have been known to take Red Lines walking tours of the silver screen capital's Hollywood Boulevard. It was an equally impressive list of individuals who gathered for the recent tour of Broadway theatres, including JoAnne Worley, Erin Murphy, Michael Learned, and many others. Kevin McCollum and Doug Morris will co-produce MOTOWN on Broadway next year, according to Michael Riedel in the New York Post. The musical is a biographical jukebox musical using the story and Motown hit catalogue of Berry Gordy Jr.. Charles Randolph-Wright will direct.

The award-winning regional theatre in downtown Pittsfield celebrates its 18th season in the Berkshires under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and Tristan Wilson, Managing Director. Directed and choreographed by Gary John La Rosa, with music direction by Darren R. Cohen, Fiddler on the Roof will have an official opening night on Sunday, June 17 at 5pm.
