Audible Inc., the world's largest producer and provider of downloadable audiobooks and other spoken-word entertainment, will begin performances this week of Is Anyone Alive Out There?, an original comedy musical at the Minetta Lane Theatre, which will also be recorded live for release as an Audible Original. The post-apocalyptic-set farce will run for four nights from March 21-24 at the company's creative home for live performances in New York. Each of the four performances will feature a surprise special guest appearance from either Chris Gethard (The Chris Gethard Show), Gilbert Gottfried (Gilbert), or Helene Yorke (The Other Two).

Audible Inc.today announced the world premiere of Is Anyone Alive Out There?, an original comedy musical at the Minetta Lane Theatre, which will also be recorded live for release as an Audible Original. The post-apocalyptic-set farce will debut as a limited-run special event March 21-24 at the company's creative home for live performances in New York.

Executive Producers Pam Carter and The Cliplight Theater, in conjunction with Amanda Cooper/ALC Management, are pleased to announce the world premiere of Maverick, co-authored by Frank Beacham and George Demas. A dramatization of co-author Beacham's real-life experience collaborating with Orson Welles in the months leading up to his death, Maverick begins previews at The Connelly Theater (220 E. 4th St., between Ave. A & Ave. B) on February 6, with opening night set for February 13 for a limited run through March 2. The combination of all of these voices and musicians sharing this powerful story set the concert on a good footing, initially. Unfortunately, the evening ended up being a disappointment.

A Dog Story, a new musical with music and lyrics by Gayla D. Morgan (Mary - A Musical) and book by Eric H. Weinberger (Wanda's World), at The Loft at The Davenport Theatre (354 W. 45th Street), will play its final performance on Sunday, January 15th.
