Photo Flash: The Barrow Group Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Founded in 1986 by TBG co-Artistic Director Seth Barrish and Nate Harvey, The Barrow Group has become one of the preeminent performing arts training centers and theatre companies in New York City and the world. Next week will mark the 30th anniversary of the theatre company and acting school, which has fostered talents such as Anne Hathaway, Vera Farmiga, Denis O'Hare, Tony Hale, among others!

The Barrow Group Will Celebrate 30 Years This June!

POETIC LICENSE 2016: A KIND OF NOW Lineup Announced

Poetic Theater Productions announces the line up for their 5th annual festival of new poetic theater. POETIC LICENSE 2016: A KIND OF NOW begins on Thursday, March 17 and runs through Friday, April 8.  Ticket prices range from $15 - $20; the Bedlam event is free. The Barrow Group Sets Full Cast of THE UNREPEATABLE MOMENT

The Barrow Group  announced today full casting for THE UNREPEATABLE MOMENT, a series of short plays by John Gassner Award Winner John Yearley (Leap, Ephemera). Directed by Shannon Patterson (The Beautiful Dark) and K. Lorrel Manning (Happy New Year), THE UNREPEATABLE MOMENT will feature Horrible Person That I Am, A Low Lying Fog, Hating Beckett, My Father's Heart and the world premiere of Racist Donut. THE UNREPEATABLE MOMENT begins previews on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at The TBG Theatre at The Barrow Group (312 W. 36th St., 3rd Floor) with an opening date currently set for Thursday, November 19, 2015 for a strictly limited run through Sunday, December 6, 2015.

WAM Theatre Presents New England Premiere of IN DARFUR, Now thru 11/16

WAM Theatre's Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven is pleased to announce the cast and creative team for the New England premiere of In Darfur, by Winter Miller. A timely, compelling drama, In Darfur will run from tonight, October 30 - November 16 at Shakespeare & Company in the Berry Family Studio of the Elayne P. Bernstein Center.

Michael Kingsbaker Stars in Looking Glass Theatre's THE GODDESS, Beg. Today

The world premiere of 'The Goddess,' a modern-day fairy tale about an open marriage, begins a four-week run at the Richmond Shepard Theatre, 309 East 26th Street, tonight, October 10. Joining the cast of five is Michael Kingsbaker, who replaces the previously announced Chris Stack. Written by the husband-and-wife duo of Justine Lambert and Kenneth Nowell, 'The Goddess' also features Tricia Alexandro, Claudia Mason, Larry Mitchell, and Sarah Nedwek. Alice Jankell directs.

THE GODDESS to Host Marriage Talkbacks, 10/10-11/3

The new play "The Goddess," which pointedly asks if monogamy is the essential ingredient of marriage, will host several talk-backs about marriage and open relationships during its four-week run from October 10 to November 3.

Justine Lambert and Kenneth Nowell's 'The Goddess,' a modern-day fairy tale about an open marriage, receives its world premiere at the Write Act Rep Theatre, 309 East 26th Street, beginning Thursday October 10. Directed by Alice Jankell, this new comedy features a cast of five including Tricia Alexandro, Claudia Mason, Larry Mitchell, Sarah Nedwek and Chris Stack. Produced by the Looking Glass Theatre, now in its 20th season, the four-week engagement plays through Sunday November 3, with an opening set for Sunday October 13 at 3pm.
