Tony Award® and Daytime Emmy Award® winner Lillias White is set to take over the role of Hermes in Hadestown, the Tony and Grammy Award®-winning Best Musical, at the Walter Kerr Theatre, beginning on Tuesday, September 13.

Original Broadway cast member and one of the show's celebrated understudies T. Oliver Reid will assume the role of Hermes at the Walter Kerr Theatre starting Tuesday, June 14.

Hadestown has released the news that André De Shields, Broadway's original Hermes, is set to depart from the award winning production on May 29th. His replacement has not yet been announced.

Tony-nominee Amber Gray, who originated the role of Persephone in Hadestown, will return to the musical for Friday night's performance at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

Lana Gordon will play the role of Persephone in Hadestown, the winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, starting Tuesday, February 22 at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre. Gordon previously starred on Broadway as Velma Kelly in Chicago and was an original cast member in The Lion King and is currently the Persephone alternate for Amber Gray, who originated the role, and as previously announced will play her final performance in Hadestown on Saturday evening, February 19.

The Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Hadestown, was among the Broadway shows sidelined this evening. A representative for the production has confirmed that tomorrow's matinee has also been canceled. The status of the Saturday evening show is to be determined. 

Tomorrow, original Broadway cast member Patrick Page will return to Hadestown, the 2019 Tony Award-winning Best New Musical. For his performance as Hades, king of the underworld, Page received a Grammy Award and Tony Award nomination.

The Broadway production of Hadestown will welcome back one of its original stars next month as Patrick Page returns to the role of Hades on Tuesday, November 9.
