STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE Highlights Nashville Ballet's Upcoming 2019-20 Season

The return of the iconic Shakespearean tragedy Romeo & Juliet, as well as Nashville premieres of Christopher Bruce's Rolling Stones-inspired ballet Rooster and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's A Streetcar Named Desire are among the highlights of Nashville Ballet's 2019-20 season, announced today.

This past Saturday an impromptu performance at the Huntington Mall began with a shout known to all musical lovers: 'Pulitzer and Hearst, they think we're nothing' Are we nothing'?' To which an excited mob of newsies replied tenaciously, 'No!' Audiences were then treated to an impressive flash mob rendition of 'The World Will Know' during a lull in the Macy's Prom Fashion Event. After this commanding performance, there's no doubt in anybody's mind just how great First Stage Theatre Company's production of Newsies will be.

ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS, SUNSET BOULEVARD, and More are Coming to a Screen Near You in BWW's March Stage-to-Screen Report

On Today, February 28, 2019, the Women's Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) Honorary Chairs Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks, Kate Capshaw and Steven Spielberg, along with WCRF co-founders Anne Douglas, Quinn Ezralow, Marion Laurie, Kelly Chapman Meyer, and Jamie Tisch will welcome guests to An Unforgettable Evening.  The event will take place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, and benefit the Women's Cancer Research Fund, a program of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

Segerstrom Center Presents The Tak Cs Quartet

The Tak cs Quartet returns to Segerstrom Center for the Arts on February 28, 2019 at 8:00pm. The ensemble, considered to be one of the world's greatest string quartets, welcomed second violinist Harumi Rhodes earlier this year following the retirement of founding member K roly Schranz. Quartet members include Edward Dusinberre and Harumi Rhodes, violins; Geraldine Walther, viola; and Andr s Fej r, cello.

Broadway Unlocked Announces The 7th Annual GIVEBACK CONCERT

Broadway Unlocked founder Jessica Ryan announced today that the seventh annual #giveback concert is slated for Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 7.30pm at WNYC's The Greene Space (44 Charlton Street).  A VIP Reception begins at 6pm, doors open at 6.45pm.  Theatre and technology collide for good at the concert, as theatre artists around the world connect, mobilize and amplify their voices to impact change in their communities. Wild Pink Premiere New Song COACHES WHO CRY

Oakland's Wild Pink are following their widely acclaimed 2018 album Yolk In The Fur with the EP 5 Songs, due out this Friday, March 1. The EP consists of three remixes and two unreleased tracks from the Yolk In The Fur sessions, and today they're sharing one of those tracks, 'Coaches Who Cry.' Billboard premiered the song today, writing, 'It's packed with homemade grandeur, with mood-setting acoustics and cryptic lyrics leading to a dramatic finish.' In an accompanying interview, frontman John Ross shared the song's origins, saying, 'The ending is about a memory I have of being really young, when on one particular Thanksgiving, all of our family, friends, and neighbors smoked turkeys in a smoker in our yard. It was snowing pretty hard and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I grew up in a town that was small at the time and had a strong sense of community. Which I think informed the person I've become.'
