The Producers Guild Awards celebrates the finest producing work of the year, and gives the Guild an opportunity to honor some of the living legends who have shaped our profession.

The Producers Guild Awards were given last night, January 19. Taking the top prize was Green Book, produced by Jim Burke, Charles B. Wessler, Brian Currie, Peter Farrelly, and Nick Vallelonga.

The Producers Guild of America has announced the nominees for its 31st Annual Producers Guild Awards, to be presented at the Fairmont Century Plaza hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday, January 18, 2020.

L.A. Theatre Works has announced its 2018-19 season of seven plays, each to be recorded in front of a live audience for future radio broadcast and online distribution. Partial Comfort Productions (Samuel D. Hunter's A Bright New Boise, Robert O'Hara's Booty Candy, Thomas Bradshaw's The Bereaved) presents the New York Premiere of DUTCH MASTERS by Greg Keller (Wit with Cynthia Nixon, Michael Mayer's Uncle Vanya on Broadway). The production marks the directorial debut of Andre Holland (Academy Award-winner Moonlight, Jitney on Broadway). This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through April 21 at The Wild Project.

This spring, UW Drama students will take on Tony Kushner's seminal, era-defining play about AIDS and homosexuality in 1980s America, Angels in America-at least, they'll take on half of it.

2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award Recipient Dallas Theater Center (DTC), in association with the Theatre Division of Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University (SMU), presents Frankenstein at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. Directed by DTC's Associate Artistic Director Joel Ferrell, Frankenstein begins on Feb. 2 and runs through March 4. Tony Award nominated artist and Top Girls director Liesl Tommy and Huntington Trustee Neal Balkowitsch will be honored with the Wimberly Award at the 2018 Spotlight Spectacular on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts.

The Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) and the Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW) have announced nominations for outstanding achievement in television, new media, news, radio/audio, and promotional writing during 2017. Winners will be honored at the 2018 Writers Guild Awards on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at concurrent ceremonies in New York City and Los Angeles.
