The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival has announced casting for their 2023 Season.

Framed around an intimate cabaret performance filmed in January 2020 at New York City’s storied Café Carlyle, PERSONALITY CRISIS: ONE NIGHT ONLY explores Johansen’s enormous influence as he regales the audience with stories and music illuminating the art and cultural evolution of New York City. Join the Joyride with the Live Roxette Tribute band at the Drama Factory on 31 March. Just listen to your heart...Heidi van der Merwe and her band will take you on a nostalgic trip down memory lane with all Roxette’s greatest hits like “The Look, Listen to your Heart, It must have been love” and “Joyride”, to mention but a few.

Featuring dynamic choreography from director Casey Nicholaw and new songs from Fey's hubby Jeff Richmond and lyricist Nell Benjamin, this stage adaptation of the cult hit movie (that will also soon be re-adapted into a movie musical) admirably recreates its quote-heavy 'fetch'-ness and anthropological commentary for the social media age.

Quintessence Theatre Group, Philadelphia's professional classic theatre, will continue Season XIII: Celebrating the Extraordinary with William Shakespeare's The Tempest, thought to be one of his final and finest plays, this fantastical romantic comedy celebrates empathy and reconciliation. Underwritten by the National Endowment for the Arts and Arts Midwest Shakespeare in American Communities Grant, The Tempest, directed by Quintessence Artistic Director Alexander Burns is now extended through April 2. 

History Theatre has announced that Glensheen will return for performances beginning July 8, 2023.

Visionary electronic artist The Album Leaf shares his transcendent new single, “Afterglow,” featuring New Zealand singer Kimbra. Upcoming tour launches in his native San Diego on May 13th and includes stops in Seattle, Chicago, Boston, and New York, before wrapping in his current hometown of Los Angeles on June 9th.

Originally released on April 15, 1983, FLASHDANCE was a massive hit—becoming the third highest-grossing film of the year in the U.S.—as well as a pop culture sensation. The film was nominated for four Academy Awards and Irene Cara won for her iconic song “Flashdance…What a Feeling.”   The film is filled with music, drama, and, of course, and dance.

Village Theatre has announced R.J. Tancioco is joining the artistic staff of the theatre as an Artistic Associate. Tancioco is an award-winning, Northwest-based Music Director who has done much of his work at Village Theatre, as well as in numerous theatres throughout the Puget Sound region.

Heathers the Musical, will be ushering in a new cast from 21st February at The Other Palace, with the show now booking until 3 September 2023.

Pittsburgh Public Theater Board Chair Angela Blanton announced that Shaunda Miles McDill will serve as the next managing director of The Public, beginning in late February 2023. McDill will share organizational leadership with her producing partner, Artistic Director Marya Sea Kaminski.
