Touchstone Theatre, long-renowned for creating community-transforming works of theatre, is tackling the story of the Lehigh Valley's Chinese locals and visitors. This two year process, entitled Journey from the East, will feature two performances, the first of which will be taking place April 3-13, 2014; the latter performance will be produced in April 2015, in collaboration with Chinese multidisciplinary artists of the Utopia Group, and with the support of the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Seventh Love is conceived by Natya Associate Artistic Director Krithika Rajagopalan in collaboration with David Kersnar, a founding member of Chicago's Tony Award-winning Lookingglass Theatre, and is written and directed by Kersnar and choreographed by Natya Founder and Artistic Director Hema Rajagopalan. Natya presents The Seventh Love in one performance only at the Harris Theater, 205 E. Randolph Street, tonight, November 2 at 7:30 pm.

November 7-10, Pontine Theatre kicks off its 36th season with performances by California-based artists, Conrad Bishop and Elizabeth Fuller, in their original production, GIFTS at Pontine's West End Studio Theatre, 959 Islington St, Portsmouth NH. Mr. Bishop and Ms. Fuller are the founding directors of The Independent Eye Theatre, located in Sabastopol, California. Sandglass Theater's New Visions Puppetry Series welcomes the return of Finn Campman's Of Bread and Paper. This evocative piece, which played to sold-out audiences at the 2012 Puppets in the Green Mountains festival, invites you to enter a world of light and shadow where layers of meaning are glimpsed and gradually revealed. Performances are Friday and Saturday, October 11th and 12th at 7:30pm. Tickets are $16 general and $13 for students and seniors.
