Touchstone Theatre, an Ensemble known for creating powerful original work premieres a haunting new offering for the Halloween season, entitled Into the Dark. The show opens Thursday October 13th and runs through the 23rd.

Yellow Face, the nationally-acclaimed play by Tony Award winning playwright David Henry Hwang, will close at Silk Road Theatre Project (SRTP), produced in association with the Goodman Theatre, on July 17. Yellow Face, directed by Steve Scott, plays in Pierce Hall at The Historic Chicago Temple Building, 77 W. Washington St, Chicago.

Originally scheduled to close on July 17, 2011, Silk Road Theatre Project's celebrated production of David Henry Hwang's Obie award winning Yellow Face has been extended through July 31, 2011.

This June, Touchstone Theatre returns to Easton's Abbey Hill Theater, in partnership with Green Leaf Productions, for a production of Walden, a one-man performance adapted from Henry David Thoreau's famous reflections on living in the woods, directed by Augustine Ripa of Lehigh University. The show runs June 24-26.

In support of their celebrated community-based original theatre, Touchstone Theatre was recently approved to receive a $31,294 grant from the Multi-Arts Production (MAP) Fund, an initiative that supports new projects spanning all disciplines of the performing arts.

The Young Playwrights' Festival will be held on May 21 at 7:00 pm, with a gala reception in the Lehigh University Art Galleries immediately following the performance.
