The New York City International Film Festival (NYCIFF), presented by Russian Standard, announced that its tenth consecutive edition will take place from February 25th to March 1st, 2019 in New York City at The Dolby Screening Room. A VIP Opening Reception and Closing Award Ceremony will bookend the week of events and screenings.

BRUSH STROKES is a new musical that has been selected for the NY Thespis Theater Festival. Performances are at the Hudson Guild Theater, 411 West 26th street (between 9th & 10th Avenues), NYC.

A coalition of organizations will protest at Lincoln Center on Monday evening, Sept. 22, at 4:30 PM, across the street from the Lincoln Center Plaza at Broadway & 65th Street to protest the Metropolitan Opera House's decision to air the “The Death of Klinghoffer.” Thousands are expected to gather on Mondayevening, which marks the first night of the gala opening of the Metropolitan opera season. Dignitaries and elected officials are expected to join the thousands of demonstrators who will gather to raise their voices against this opera which promotes terrorism, and anti-Semitism.

The world premiere of Walter Anderson's play Almost Home, directed by Michael Parva and produced by The Directors Company, opened last tonight, September 18, at the Acorn theatre on Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Almost Home stars Joe Lisi (Take Me Out), James McCaffrey (FX's 'Rescue Me'),Jonny Orsini (The Nance), Brenda Pressley (The Lyons), and Tony Award-winner Karen Ziemba(Contact). The REP, Point Park University's professional theatre company, will produce four works, including a world premiere and a Pittsburgh premiere, in the 2013-2014 season. The season begins Sept. 6 and runs through April 6, 2014, at the Pittsburgh Playhouse.

Roundabout Theatre Company's new Broadway production of The Big Knife, by Clifford Odets, opened last night, April 16, at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street).
