Photo Coverage: Steve Tyrell Brings 'Romance' to the Cafe Carlyle

The Carlyle Hotel welcomed acclaimed vocalist Steve Tyrell back to the Café Carlyle for an exclusive two-week spring engagement last night, May 15, 2012. Playing through Saturday, May 26, 2012, Steve is celebrating the release of his newest collection "I'll Take Romance" (Concord Records), an homage to The Great American Songbook with tracks culled from several genres expressing the theme of romance.
Featuring such gems as "That's All," "Taking a Chance On Love," "All of You" and the title track, Mr. Tyrell also covers a host of R&B classics, including the Etta James hits "At Last" and "Trust In Me;" Sam Cooke's "(I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons;" and Little Willie John's "Talk to Me." "I'll Take Romance" is a passionate song selection and a modern-day take on all things love. Steve is supported by his big band led by Musical Director, Quinn Johnson.
Steve Tyrell: I'll Take Romance will play Tuesdays through Thursdays at 8:45PM and Friday & Saturday at 8:45 PM & 10:45PM. The music charge is $100 ($60 bar) Tuesday - Thursday and $110 ($60 bar) Friday & Saturday. Dinner is served from 6:30PM.
