Palm Beach Dramaworks Presents Albee's A DELICATE BALANCE, Now thru 1/6

Palm Beach Dramaworks, which mounted its first productions of works by Edward Albee in 2002, renews its exploration of his remarkable career with two important presentations. A Delicate Balance, the first of his three Pulitzer Prize-winning plays, opens on December 7 and runs through January 6. Following that, on January 8, will be the Southeastern premiere of The Stages of Edward Albee, the acclaimed new documentary that examines the playwright's life and work.

Marcia Gay Harden Joins Cast of Michael Radford's ELSA & FRED

Variety reports that Marcia Gay Harden has joined the cast of Michael Radford's ELSA & FRED. The actress will join previously announced cast members Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Plummer.

Gideon Glick, Tonya Pinkins and More to Lead AMANDINE at Cherry Lane Theatre

Casting is complete for the world premiere of Amandine, the new musical from writer Winter Miller, 13P founding member who penned In Darfur (The Public Theater), among other acclaimed plays; Emmy Award-winning composer Lance Horne, who is known for his own work and collaborations with Alan Cumming, Amanda Palmer, Meow Meow, Sandra Bernhard and Justin Vivian Bond; and Drama Desk Award-winning director Josh Hecht (Christine Jorgensen Reveals). The production will run January 9-26, 2013 at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) main stage. Critics are welcome as of January 13 for an official opening on January 16.

TCG to Publish LINCOLN Screenplay

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) is pleased to announce the publication of Tony Kushner's critically acclaimed screenplay for Lincoln, now a major motion picture directed by Steven Spielberg. Inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin's book, Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, the published screenplay of Lincoln will contain eight pages of color photos from the film. The book will be released on January 22, 2013, and is now available for pre-order via the TCG website.
