Writer and director Tony Cownie (The Venetian Twins, The Belle’s Stratagem) brings this famous festive story back to the city of its birth with a guest appearance from Edinburgh’s best-loved Victorian – Greyfriars Bobby! Join us on the snowy streets of the Old Town for a festive comedy as we revisit this celebrated Christmas tale of a miser redeemed.

The Lyceum in Edinburgh will present Lyceum Chrstmas Tales, 1 December 2020 to 20 December 2020.

Liz Lochhead's Tartuffe is an un-P.C., rude, and rhyming take on Moliere's classic play. It comes to The Arch at Holden Street Theatre's from 11 February to 15 March as part of the 2020 Adelaide Fringe. 

The Scottish capital's hugely popular Christmas celebrations officially start this weekend with Light Night on Sunday, 17 November at 3.30pm. Citizens Theatre Artistic Director Dominic Hill takes on a new production of Stephen Jeffreys' raunchy and bawdy historical drama The Libertine as the finale to his Spring 2014 Season. Following performances in Glasgow, the production will tour to Bristol Old Vic from 28 - 31 May, the first time the Citizens has presented work at the Bristol theatre.

The Lyceum Theatre Company, Scotland's largest producing theatre, has announced its 2012/2013 Season. Collaborations National Theatre of Scotland, Citizens Theatre, Dundee Rep Theatre and Chichester Festival Theatre as well as in-house productions will present more than seventy actors in seven plays, three of which are world premieres. Highlights of the season include THE GUID SISTERS, trasnlated into Scots from the original French, TAKING OVER THE ASYLUM by Donna Franceschild and a new commission from David Haig which has yet to be titled.
