On Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 5:30pm, the Miró Quartet returns to Baltimore for the world premiere of a new work by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw, Microfictions [Vol. 1], co-commissioned by SHCS, along with Mozart's buoyant 'Hunt' Quartet in B-flat Major and Beethoven's tumultuous and radiant String Quartet in A minor Op. 132.

Bang on a Can Announces BANG ON A CAN Marathon Live Online

Bang on a Can announces its next Bang on a Can Marathon – Live Online – on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 1-5pm ET. All 15 pieces on the program will be world premiere performances of newly commissioned works, streamed from musicians' homes around the country and across the world. Kaufman Music Center's Pop-Up Musical Storefront Series to Feature JACK Quartet, Caroline Shaw, Gil Shaham and More

This winter, Kaufman Music Center brings live music back to NYC’s Upper West Side with Musical Storefronts, a new pop-up concert series featuring more than 100 of our city’s finest performers, including chamber musicians; soloists; Broadway stars from Hamilton, Tootsie and Company; and artists who have appeared on the Merkin Hall stage.

Metropolis Ensemble Launches 'House Music' Virtual Concert Series

Metropolis Ensemble is commissioning performers to present bite-sized works from contemporary composers, as well as composers to create new works specifically for this series, which are then recorded from wherever the artists are sheltering. 'House Music' launched in late March and streams live every Tuesday and Thursday at 10AM ET. The events are accessible for free on Metropolis Ensemble's website, and its Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Nadia Sirota Announces New Online Series

UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance (CAP UCLA) has announced an online series from violist, broadcaster, curator and CAP UCLA alum Nadia Sirota. An Artist-In-Residence with CAP-UCLA, Nadia Sirota released a new music and talk show, Living Music with Nadia Sirota, from her garage in Los Angeles, with special guests performing from their homes.

ACME to Perform The Music Of Clarice Jensen And Celebrates 15th Anniversary

From January through May 2020, the American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME) presents three concerts celebrating the group's 15th anniversary, in a series called ACME: 15 Years, at the Tenri Cultural Institute (43A W. 13th St.) a?" the location of the ensemble's inaugural concert season in 2004-2005. Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra Will Present the World Premiere of Juan Pablo Contreras' LUCHA LIBRE!

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO), led by Music Director Jaime Martín, presents the world premiere of Juan Pablo Contreras' Lucha Libre!, a LACO Sound Investment Commission, on Saturday, March 28, 8 pm, at Glendale's Alex Theatre, and Sunday, March 29, 2020, 7 pm, at UCLA's Royce Hall. Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra to Launch Second CSO Proof Experience SINGULIS ET SIMUL

Launched in the fall of 2019, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's CSO Proof series is an incubator for experimenting with new ideas on how we experience classical music. Designed to challenge the constructs of a traditional concert, every element is up for grabs. Programs feature collaborations with a wide range of musicians and other artists not typically associated with orchestras; performances are apt to happen in open or unexpected spaces; multi-media effects are often employed; and, the audience is situated closer to the action, breaking the fourth wall and encouraging a more immersive relationship with the musicians and the action.

Violinist Yevgeny Kutik to Present MUSIC FROM THE SUITCASE at the Bickford Theatre at Morris Museum

On Saturday, December 21 at 2pm and Sunday, December 22 at 2pm, Russian-American violinist Yevgeny Kutik, known for his 'dark-hued tone and razor-sharp technique' (The New York Times) is presented by the Morris Museum in Bickford Theatre with pianist Randall Hodgkinson. Composer and Pianist Timo Andres Launches First “CSO Proof” Performance at Music Hall

Calling all musical adventurists! The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's new CSO Proof series offers a novel way to experience performances at Music Hall. Imagine artists and audience members sharing the stage in casual, intermission-less concerts with elements of music, theater, lighting and dance. During the 2019/2020 season, three CSO Proof performances will help celebrate the Orchestra's 125th anniversary by presenting artists collaborating with different curators who craft themes connecting orchestral music to listeners in adventurous ways.
