The season includes the classic 'Steel Magnolias' by Robert Harling, the world premiere of 'The Nisei Widows Club: How Tomi Got Her Groove Back' by Betty Tokudani, the world premiere of 'A Nice Indian Boy' by Madhuri Shekar, and the musical 'Beijing Spring,' lyrics by Tim Dang and music by Joel Iwataki. The third installation of the EVOKE New Works Festival will focus on Southeast Asian emerging artists.

This signature 'one night only' event takes place at East West Players, featuring some of the best talent to grace the EWP stage, along with dinner al fresco in the Aratani Courtyard, just outside the theater. Proceeds of One Night Only benefit the artistic/educational programs of East West Players and the organization's endowment.

'You were all terrific!' Sir Tim Rice shared with the cast, band and crew of CHESS this past weekend in an intimate post-show meet and greet. All performances are staged at the David Henry Hwang Theater at the Union Center for the Arts at 120 Judge John Aiso St., Los Angeles, CA 90012. Performances are Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at2pm.
