Jazz Vocalist Hilary Kole returns to the Cooperstown Summer Music Festival to sing a selection of classic standards and contemporary songs about love, loss, and the journey to find one's true heart. The concert will feature songs from Cole Porter, Elvis Costello, Irving Berlin, Paul Simon, and more.

The Virginia Arts Festival from today, March 17 thru June 2, 2013, will present a season with extraordinary arts experiences not only in theaters, concert halls and historic churches, but in city streets and parks. It will be a season of artistic celebrations featuring a performance of Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, presented on the exact day of its 100th anniversary. As a kid growing up in the Philippines, I remember being completely enamored by the incredibly talented Lea Salonga, one of my native country's premier superstars. The 25th annual Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition and 'Women, Music and Diplomacy' All-Star Gala Concert will be presented by the world-renowned Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz, in partnership with Cadillac, this year's Presenting Sponsor, on September 22-23. Through the competition and its numerous educational programs, the Institute is committed to identifying and training the world's leading young jazz musicians who will preserve the traditions of jazz while expanding the music in new directions.

The Duke Ellington Orchestra, featuring multi-platinum recording artist Brian McKnight, and Kenton's 100th - the Stan Centennial Orchestra with special guest Tierney Sutton perform tonight, August 8, at 8PM, to celebrate two classic and unique big band leaders who were known for using full orchestra and contributing beloved works to the American songbook.

The Cooperstown Summer Music Festival will present Flute Fest at the Otesaga on Thursday, August 2 at 7:30 pm. The concert, which is free and open to all, will feature the flute choir from the NY Summer Music Festival's prestigious International Flute Institute. Several of the Institute's instructors also will perform, including Guo-Liang Han, Principal Flute of the China National Symphony Orchestra; Henrik Wiese, Principal Flute of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra; and Linda Chesis, Festival flutist, and professor of flute and chair of the woodwind department at the Manhattan School of Music.
