The performers have been set for the world premiere production of Rude Mechs' 'I've Never Been So Happy.' The Western musical transmedia shindig which is presented at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre as part of DouglasPlus programming runs for 18 performances only, October 6 through 23, 2011. Opening is set for October 8.

Critically acclaimed Austin, TX ensemble, Rude Mechs, returns to New York and makes its Dance Theater Workshop debut with the New York premiere of THE METHOD GUN, a piece exploring the life and techniques of Stella Burden, an apocryphal actor-training guru of the 60s and 70s. Ms. Burden's training technique, The Approach - often referred to as 'the most dangerous acting technique in the world' - fused Western acting methods with risk-based rituals in order to infuse even the smallest role with sex, death and violence.

The 34th annual Humana Festival of New American Plays, made possible by a generous grant from The Humana Foundation, will continue with The Method Gun, created by Austin?based theatre troupe Rude Mechs and written by Kirk Lynn.
