The American Theatre Wing announces that it will celebrate the legacy of Jonathan Larson and the Larson family at its annual gala, dubbed 'Say YES to Artists Gala,' which will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street).

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced today its lineups for the annual Writers and Producers Panel series. Peter Spears (Call Me By Your Name), Lisa Bruce (Darkest Hour), Emma Thomas (Dunkirk), Sean McKittrick (Get Out), Evelyn O'Neill (Lady Bird), Daniel Lupi (Phantom Thread), J. Miles Dale (The Shape of Water), and Graham Broadbent (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) are this year's participants on the “Movers and Shakers” Producers Panel. Adrian Molina (Coco), Edgar Wright (Baby Driver), Virgil Williams (Mudbound), Michael H. Weber (The Disaster Artist), Emily V. Gordon (The Big Sick), Liz Hannah (The Post), and Mike Vanessa Taylor (The Shape of Water) will speak on the “It Starts With the Script” Writers Panel. The panels will take place on Saturday, February 3rd at the Lobero Theatre.

Tina Brown, Diane von Furstenberg and Pamela Thomas-Graham celebrated Broadway director Stephen Daldry at Barbetta Restaurant (321 West 46th Street) today, May 28th. Daldry has just been nominated for a Tony Award for Best Direction in a Play for SKYLIGHT, starring Bill Nighy and Carey Mulligan. The New York Philharmonic will present the second season of THE ART OF THE SCORE: Film Week at the Philharmonic September 16-20, 2014, offering two concert programs of film music - La Dolce Vita: The Music of Italian Cinema and Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times: The Tramp at 100 - that highlight some of the genre's most distinctive uses of music. Music Director Alan Gilbert opens the New York Philharmonic's 2014-15 season on September 16 with the Opening Gala Concert, La Dolce Vita: The Music of Italian Cinema, with special guest Martin Scorsese, Oscar-winning director and film preservation proponent, who will deliver welcoming and introductory remarks. Award-winning actor, Philharmonic Board Member, and Philharmonic Radio Host Alec Baldwin returns as Artistic Advisor of THE ART OF THE SCORE.

Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Whoopi Goldberg was elected in January 2013, and Pamela Thomas-Graham - Head of Talent, Branding, and Communications at Credit Suisse, the Philharmonic's Global Sponsor, and a member of the bank's executive board - was elected in October 2012.
