Boston's Independent Radio, WXRV/92.5 the River announced that long-time station favorites Barenaked Ladies will headline their 17th Annual Newburyport Riverfront Music Festival on Saturday, September 1st at Waterfront Park. Phillip Phillips, Anderson East and The Aldous Collins Band round out the bill for the free festival which runs from 12PM to 6:30PM. SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical, the critically acclaimed, award-winning new musical will conclude its Broadway engagement at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway at West 47th Street) on Sunday, September 16, 2018, due to previously planned theatre renovations beginning mid-September. Early in 2019, school and youth group licensing rights will be available, with professional licensing to follow. Additionally, a North American tour will begin fall 2019 (cities, venue engagements and casting to be announced at a later date). The production, which began previews on November 6, 2017, and opened on December 4, 2017, will have played 327 regular performances and 29 previews.

This summer, New Jersey based Jumpin' Jamie AKA Jamie Theurich will release his energetic debut family album Kookie, inspired by the pop punk music that shaped his own childhood, out June 1. Jumpin' Jamie will celebrate on June 2 at the East Brunswick Art and Music Festival with a performance at 11:30AM.
Rehearsals are underway for Underneath the Lintel, starring Sally Wingert. As part of Theater Latte Da's commitment to developing new works, this production of Glen Berger's acclaimed play features original music commissioned by Latte Da from Grammy award-winning composer Frank London, founding member of The Klezmatics. Theater Latte Da Artistic Director Peter Rothstein directs the production with Music Director Dan Chouinard and vocalist Natalie Nowytski.
