Making Light and Thespis Theater Festival Present THE DEVIL OF DELANCEY STREET, 7/7-13

Description: Depression era, lower east side, Manhattan. Author Mrs. Chaste is banned by the church because her children's stories depict the supernatural. She befriends Damian, a local devil who attempts to annihilate the corrupt Pastor Beagle, to free Mrs. Chaste from censorship and to return to the living. A musical comedy in one act, this production features Jessica Lauren Copland, Jonathan Mesisca, Ben Boecker, Alexandra Cassens, Martin Everall, Paul Fraccalvieri, Robbin Major and Julie Lauren Stevens.

PETER PAN IS DEAD Plays Cabrini Repertory Theater, Now thru 6/29

Peter Pan is Dead by Brandon Monokian will be presented at the Cabrini Repertory Theater tonight, June 24 at 8:45pm, June 27 at 9:00pm and June 29 at 7:00pm as apart of the Thespis Theater Festival. The show will star Daria Feneis ('Concussion'), Ashley Biel (The Orange Person), Gina Chedid and Katie Frazer and will be directed by Michael Joel, with design by Christine Bennett and April Gormley.

SING AFTER STORMS Begins Tonight at the 2014 Thespis Theater Festival

SING AFTER STORMS appears as part of the 2014 Thespis Theater Festival, hosted at the Cabrini Repertory Theater in Fort Washington (701 Washington Avenue, Manhattan, A train to 190th Street). SING AFTER STORMS will be performed today, June 18 (8:45pm), Saturday, June 21 (9:00pm), and Sunday, June 22 (9:30pm).

SOUL OF A BLUE BUTTERFLY SET for Cabrini Rep, 6/17-22

Coming to Manhattan's Cabrini Rep this June - Soul of a Blue Butterfly; the true story of a young Swedish woman en route to Jerusalem to discover her roots, finds unexpected love. Upon being asked to marry, the Synagogue Rabbi declares the bride not Jewish enough for an Orthodox wedding. As despair ensues, the struggle of a lifetime begins.

Manhattan Repertory Opens SOMDOMITE: THE LOVES OF OSCAR WILDE Tonight

Fresh from its third place place finish in the 2014 Thesis Theatre Festival, Somdomite: The Loves of Oscar Wilde, a play by Joshua R. Pangborn, is receiving its first NYC revival as part of the Manhattan Repertory Theatre's Spring New Works Festival.

Broward Stage Door Theatre to Present OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS, Now thru 5/11

Family, faith, and food' are 'the three F's' governing Joe DiPietro's heartwarming comedy Over The River and Through The Woods, which will run from today, April 4th through May 11th at the Broward Stage Door Theatre. The play, which takes place in Hoboken, New Jersey focuses on the relationship between young up-and-coming marketing executive Nick Cristano, and his four loving and very involved grandparents. When Nick is offered a career advancing opportunity across the country, he is faced with making some tough and life-altering decisions.

Cast Announced for New Brooklyn Theater's Site-Specific THE DEATH OF BESSIE SMITH, 1/9-19

New Brooklyn Theater has announced casting today for its site-specific production of Edward Albee's The Death of Bessie Smith at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn. This rare revival will run for eight performances between January 9 and 19, 2014. Each performance will be followed by talkbacks or panel discussions with leaders in the arts, government, labor, and health. These discussions are intended to raise critical questions about health access, race, class, and the arts in New York.

TO DREAM OF TREES Opens at TNC's 2013 Dream Up Festival Today
