Prospect Theater Company will present the New York premiere of the award-winning new indie-rock musical Lizard Boy, with book, music and lyrics by Justin Huertas and directed by Brandon Ivie.

Irish Arts Center will present the U.S. premiere of THISISPOPBABY’s Conversations After Sex, written by Mark O’Halloran and directed by Tom Creed. Performances take place February 22-March 11.

Theatre for a New Audience  presents EXPERIMENTAL WORKSHOPS/EXPLORING THE HISTORIES.  Performances run January 26-February 5, 2023.

The Acting Company has announced the cast for their reading of The Misanthrope. Molière's classic play is translated by Neil Bartlett and directed by The Acting Company's Producing Director Devin Brain.

The cast has been announced for the world premiere of BERLUSCONI at Southwark Playhouse. Rehearsals begin on 13 February with first preview on 25 March and press night on 29 March.

Gary Perez has joined the cast of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ Pulitzer Prize-winning play, BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY, directed by Austin Pendleton.  Mr. Perez assumed the role of Lieutenant Caro on January 20, 2023.

One Year Lease Theater Company will present the world premiere of Ellen McLaughlin’s KISSING THE FLOOR, directed by Ianthe Demos, with movement direction by Natalie Lomonte, running Off-Broadway February 23 – March 12, 2023 in a limited engagement at Theatre Row.

Here Lies Love, the immersive disco pop musical based on the rise and fall of Imelda Marcos and the People Power Revolution of the Philippines, is on its way to Broadway. The announcement, however, sparked questions from fans about the choice to bring the show back while the Marcos family is back in power.

Tony Award-winner Nikki M. James has joined the cast of the upcoming Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced the recipients of the first and second rounds of the 2022-23 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards. The awards, totaling $725,000, allow 17 productions extra time for the development and rehearsal of new plays with the entire creative team, hoping to extend the life of the world premiere play after its first run.
