Romy Nordlinger's PLACES to Make World Premiere at 59E59 Before Edinburgh Fringe

Yonder Window Theatre Company and Parity Productions have announced that writer/performer Romy Nordlinger's Places is among the selected performances for this year's East to Edinburgh at 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director). Places will play 6 performances in July before traveling to Edinburgh, Scotland for the 2017 Fringe Festival where it will have 25 performances over the month of August (4th - 27th).

SPARKLE & CIRCULATE with JUSTIN SAYRE - the official monthly podcast of the International Order of Sodomites - has posted its new episode, which features an interview with vocalist, actress and writer AMBER MARTIN. She joins host Justin Sayre to discuss her new album "A.M. Gold" - which features collaborations with transgender pioneer Kate Bornstein and Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters - in addition to her love of vintage K-Tel records, and Mattachine, the acclaimed New York queer party she hosts with John Cameron Mitchell.

SPACE on Ryder Farm, the non-profit artist residency program located on Ryder Farm, an idyllic 200 year-old working organic farm in Brewster, New York announced its 2017 season for The Working Farm, Family Residency, Creative Solutions Symposium and Artistic Residency programs at The Players Club. Young People's Theatre Workshop (YPTW) presents the hip-swiveling, rock 'n roll musical comedy Bye Bye Birdie, on stage at the Players Club of Swarthmore May 26 to June 4. The Bye Bye Birdie cast includes more than 60 student thespians from the Philadelphia area, ages 8-18. Show dates are May 26, 27, 30, June 1 and 3 at 7:30 p.m., May 29 at 6 p.m. and May 28 and June 4 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 and all seats are reserved. Call 610-558-0988 to reserve tickets.

Since 1905 the Dutch Treat Club a social club of writers, artists, illustrators, publishers, and performers have had the rich, famous, and talented appear at their Tuesday Luncheons. Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammersteinll, Walter Cronkite, Jose Ferrer, Lowell Thomas Edward R. Murrow, and quite a few of U.S. Presidents have been members. This Tuesday the club met at The Players Club in Gramercy Square to hear a talk by The New York Times Columnist Gail Collins and American Songbook Standards sung by Richard Malavet. Ray Errol Fox president of the club greeted the members and introduced Ms. Collins, and Karen Oberlin introduced Mr. Malavet.
