Players Club Of Swarthmore presents THE LITTLE MERMAID

Just in time for the holidays, The Players Club of Swarthmore makes a splash with the Disney family musical The Little Mermaid Nov. 24 to Dec. 9, for 12 performances at 614 Fairview Ave. in Swarthmore. The Players Club of Swarthmore presents A Great Wilderness by Samuel D. Hunter, directed by Anthony SanFilippo, on the Raymond W. Smith stage. Performances are November 10 and 11 at 8 p.m., November 12 at 2 p.m., November 16 at 7:30, November 17 and 18 at 8. Playwright John Yarbrough Wins British Theatre Challenge

New York playwright John Yarbrough's THE ROSE-RED CITY won the top audience prize at the British Theatre Challenge at London's Stockwell Playhouse, held October 20 & 21. The play was among ten plays selected for performances at the Challenge, chosen from hundreds of international submissions.

Justin Sayre to Return to Joe's Pub with EGGPLANTS, PEACHES, & TEARS

After their recent run in I'm Gorgeous Inside, comedian and writer, Justin Sayre returns to Joe's Pub with a new show, EGGPLANTS, PEACHES, & TEARS. The show, which chronicles the trials and tribulations of the modern queer life, runs November 17 & 18 at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater in New York City.

The Players Club of Swarthmore opens its 107th season of award-winning community theater with the Kander, Ebb & Fosse classic musical Chicago Sept. 15-30, for ten performances at 614 Fairview Ave. in Swarthmore.  Set in Chicago during the Roaring Twenties, an era renowned for organized crime, alcohol prohibition and the very best jazz, Anne Marie Scalies directs a razor-sharp show about bad girls behaving badly that will bring sass and brass to the Players Club of Swarthmore stage, along with choreography by Katie Sienkiewicz and Nate Golden, and musical direction by Emily Szal. Buy tickets online atwww.pcstheater.org.
