Cumbernauld Theatre at Lanternhouse has announced its 2023 Spring/Summer season, with tickets now on sale for all productions.

New Georges will kick off its 30th Anniversary season with a one-night-only special presentation of bb brecht’s Holiday Yuletide Spectacular, created by Miranda Haymon. On Wednesday December 14, 2022, audiences are invited to spend their holiday party season with bb brecht and his friends at Dixon Place.

Following news last week that Sonia Friedman OBE had been appointed President of The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Central has announced the appointments of four new Vice Presidents.

The National Theatre has announced three new productions for 2023 and the revival of the critically acclaimed The Father and the Assassin. A new production devised by The PappyShow will tour directly to 55 schools across England, and National Theatre Live brings The Crucible, Othello and GOOD to cinema goers around the world.

Artistic Directors Roy Alexander Weise and Bryony Shanahan are working in collaboration with some of the industry’s most ground-breaking artists and companies from across the world. Writers Marieke Hardy (Sydney) and Kimber Lee (New York) will both see their plays premiere at the Exchange as part of this season.

The National Theatre has found its cast for The Motive and the Cue, opening in 2023. The cast will be led by Johnny Flynn, Tuppence Middleton, and Mark Gatiss, who will play Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor and John Gielgud, respectively.

The Menier Chocolate Factory has opened public booking for Alex Edelman – Just For Us, which opens at the Menier after a smash-hit sell-out extended season in New York. The production reunites Edelman with director Adam Brace – who have collaborated since 2014.

BoHo Theatre will close out its 2022/2023 season with TICK, TICK…BOOM!, with music, lyrics, and book by the late Jonathan Larson, and directed by Bo Frazier. This production marks the company’s first musical since BIG FISH in 2019.
