THE CUTTING ROOM, presents Guilty Pleasures Cabaret in their 'Friday the 13th Freak Show' on Friday, April 13th, 2018. NYC's premier song and dance variety show takes on a sexy circus-themed vibe for their debut performance at this prestigious venue. The show features fishnet-clad dancers with synchronized routines who contort, tap dance, and entertain alongside cheeky comedians, magicians, drag acts, and phenomenal singers for night of spectacle and variety.

The addictive, inspiring art of musical theater - and some of its most beloved songs - will be featured in a benefit concert for Area Stage Company and Conservatory. In 5'6", 7, 8 - Lamentations of Two Broadway Bound Showgirls, accomplished performers Rebecca Ashton and Carolina Ordoñez, backed by a group of budding young ASC artists, will perform new and classic Broadway hits, while relating the ups, downs and comic misadventures of performing, auditioning and teaching.

On Monday, April 2nd at 9:30pm, Christopher Sloan & Gavin Esham want YOU to vote them to Broadway after getting to know them during Chris & Gavin's Broadway Campaign Spectacular, an evening of sketch comedy, song and unintentional nudity that tackles hot topics.

Don't Rain On Their Parade! New Generation Theater Company is back at the Duplex Cabaret Theater with its brand new show: Encore for Broadway! The performance will feature songs made famous from Broadway hits that will be sure to have you singing the whole night!

Playwright Adam R. Burnett of New York, NY, has been awarded a fellowship by the Jentel Artist Residency Program for May through June, 2018.  Jentel is located in a rural setting on a working cattle ranch in the Lower Piney Creek Valley approximately 20 miles southeast of Sheridan, Wyoming. Adam will be among the award recipients focusing on their own creative projects at this working retreat for artists and writers.

On April 27th, Women Who March will premier at The Duplex at 9:30pm. The show features an all-female cast sharing their own experiences and stories through song - all while celebrating women's rights, health & empowerment.*

Song bird, Taylor Pearlstein is set to release her debut album, When the Birds Wake You Up. From Seattle to Tuscan, Taylor Pearlstein has been seen on stages all across the country. After moving to New York City just last year, she has quickly become a crowd favorite in the late night cabaret scene, having performed at Le Poison Rouge, The Duplex, and The West End Lounge with artists like Derek Gregor, Sam Carner, Morgan Reilly, and more.

Last seen at the Duplex a month and a half into the Trump presidency, No Evil: A Cabaret of Resistance, returns in 2018 older and wearier, but still here. This second incarnation of 2017's sold out run remains dedicated to creating musical space for rage and resistance.

Goodman Theatre revives Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years, Emily Mann's "warming theatrical event" (Variety)that celebrates the lives of "two strong, vibrant women dispensing joy and wisdom" (Chicago Tribune). Goodman Theatre Resident Director Chuck Smith's production features Ella Joyce and Marie Thomas as the Delany centenarians, Bessie (1891 - 1995) and Sadie (1889 -1999), respectively, as they trace their lives in a heartfelt reflection of their family history and triumphs over prejudices in times of social unrest.

NiCori Studios & Productions announces a new installment of the monthly concert series, 'Music at the Mansion", on Sunday, March 25, at 3pm at the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center in Bloomfield, NJ.  Performers include Jennylind Parris, Bob Diamond and Lisa Viggiano .  The Young Musician Moment will be Katherine Stelma.

On Friday, April 13th, Saturday, April 14th and Sunday April 15th, 2018, New York City's TheatreLab, as part of their TLAB Shares program, will host a workshop production of EMPATH, an empathic experiment of a solo show written by and starring notable empath David Sauvage. Tickets are $25.
