CBS today announced the 20 performers participating in the 2020 SHOWCASE, which will begin its run of six shows on Jan. 14 at the El Portal Theatre in Los Angeles.

FRIGID Festival presents A Southern Fairytale, the story of a gay Christian growing up on the Deep South, written and performed by Ty Autry and directed by David L. Carson. Five performances will be staged at The Kraine Theater, 84 East 4th Street in New York City from February 19-March 6, 2020.

A host of Broadway and recording artists will join composer Jeff Thomson in concert on Sunday, January 19th at 7:00pm PM at The Duplex (61 Christopher Street).

Billy Recce is an up and coming composer and lyricist that I had the pleasure of seeing first perform a series of his comedy songs at the Duplex about a year ago. Quickly, he's gained some recognition for his work over the course of this past year on 'A Musical About Star Wars.' Impressed, when I heard about his CD release, I jumped at the opportunity to interview him for Broadway World.

Brooklyn-based performer, Raquel Cion, is coming back for a January-March 2020 residency of her cabaret, Me & Mr. Jones: My Intimate Relationship with David Bowie at Pangea, located at 178 Second Avenue New York, NY 10003. The 90-minute cabaret explores the lifelong 'soul love' that Cion has for David Bowie's artistry and David Jones's humanity.

Arizona Theatre Company (Sean Daniels, Artistic Director; Billy Russo, Managing Director) presents Athol Fugard's powerfully haunting masterpiece, 'Master Harold' ... and the Boys from Jan. 18- Feb. 8 at the Temple of Music and Art in Tucson and from Feb. 13 to March 1 at the Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix.

For anyone who happens to have ventured out to one of the Rescignos' holiday frolics over the last decade, you understand the incredible journey on which this epic twin duo takes their audience each year. Whether it's the puns and innuendos on Paul's latest costume, a massive stocking, or the 'serious-minded' Robbie cracking a grin after the audience erupts into teary-eyed laughter, this duo deserves a ton of applause for yet another well-orchestrated show.
