Erin Markey returns to Joe's Pub tonight, March 15. Known for her dark wit and absurdist transformations, Markey has been likened to Kristen Wiig, Kathy Acker and Eileen Brennan. Erin weaves together an exciting bill of R&B, 90's pop and grunge, standards and original music under the direction of Ben Rimalower (Leslie Kritzer is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches) with musical direction by Tony-nominated Kenny Mellman (Kiki and Herb).

Halfway Home Productions will present AVARICE the concert, featuring book, music and lyrics by J. William Bruce and musical direction and orchestrations by David A. Shenton. The concert will star Tom Ashton, J. William Bruce, Lorelei Mackenzie, Stuart Metcalf, Kristen Penner and Joni Ernst.

The award-winning New York Theatre Barn is partnering with Brooklyn-based choral ensemble Choral Chameleon to produce the world premiere production of Tamar of the River Oratorio for two nights only in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn tonight, March 9 and tomorrow, March 10, 2013 starring Broadway's Jessica Grove in the title role, and the 12 singers of Choral Chameleon embodying the River.

Picture Perfect draws on new, original material as well as Davis's debut recording, Cautiously Optimistic: The Music of Scott Evan Davis, released in 2011 by Sonic Landscapes Music. He has assembled an exciting group of performers to interpret his compositions, staged in group and solo arrangements.

Unlike most other awards show, the Bistro Awards is an evening filled with great performances from the winners - stars as well as talented newcomers - who represent a wide variety of styles from the worlds of cabaret, comedy, and jazz.

Feola Theatricals will present A MUSICAL DOUBLE DATE WITH LAUREN AND SUZANNE, a unique cabaret experience featuring embarrassing dating stories paired with a musical theater soundtrack. This one-night-only cabaret, featuring Suzanne Lenz and Lauren Leland, will be held on Wednesday March 27th at 7:00pm at The Duplex on Christopher Street.

Who would have ever thought that the New York Cabaret scene would end up having almost as many awards shows as the film industry? The Nightlife Awards Show at Town Hall was presented on January 14, and the newly established BroadwayWorld.com New York Cabaret Awards Show filled the Metropolitan Room on February 21. The Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) will hold it's 27th Annual MAC Awards Show on March 21 at B.B. King's Blues Club. But next up is the 28th Annual Bistro Awards Gala, which recognizes outstanding achievement in New York cabaret, jazz, and comedy, on March 4 at 6:30pm at the Gotham Comedy Club (208 West 23rd Street, Between 7th & 8th Ave). The evening, under the direction of Shellen Lubin, will once again be co-hosted by comedian and actor Jim David, and will feature performances from most of this year's Bistro-winning artists.

These entertainers and many others became award-winners after almost two months of voting and the casting of an astounding 10,000 votes over 20 categories on the Cabaret section of the BroadwayWorld.com website. The 2012 BroadwayWorld.com New York Cabaret Awards Show will be hosted by BroadwayWorld.com's lead Cabaret Reviewer/Columnist Stephen Hanks, while the show's Musical Director will be MAC Award-winning MD and composer Bill Zeffiro.
