Picture Perfect draws on new, original material as well as Davis's debut recording, Cautiously Optimistic: The Music of Scott Evan Davis, released in 2011 by Sonic Landscapes Music. He has assembled an exciting group of performers to interpret his compositions, staged in group and solo arrangements.

"When it comes to contemporary songwriting, the obstreperously sizable squad who complain that 'they don't write 'em like they used to' have got it seriously wrong. The bracing truth is that they do write 'em very much as the outstanding pop songwriters of the mid-20th century used to.... Prominent among them are Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk, Lance Horne, Sam Davis, Michael Patrick Walker, Scott Evan Davis, Georgia Stitt." David Finkle, The Huffington Post
Scott Evan Davis is a self-taught pianist who attended Emerson College and AMDA. In 2011, though he was a virtual unknown at the time, his debut recording featured such theater and cabaret luminaries as Faith Prince, Liz Callaway, Jason Graae and Natalie Douglas. In a period of two years on the New York scene, Davis's music has become lauded and sought after internationally. Last spring he was the recipient of a Courage in Theater Award from Musical Theater International for the musical A Powerful Day, which he wrote with autistic students at the Spectrum School in Manhattan under the auspices of Arts Connection. He recently performed a concert in the UK with esteemed composers Georgia Stitt and Michael Patrick Walker, and was 2012's first ever winner of the Broadway World Award for Best Song (If We Say Goodbye). He has just been contracted, with librettist Christy Hall, to write the musical INDIGO, about an autistic child.
