Beginning Friday, The Duplex welcomes Carly Sakolove in an open-ended engagement of her one-woman show, I HEAR VOICES. In addition to Carly, a surprise guest
"Diva" will be performing to celebrate the opening. As of February 22, audiences can enjoy
Sakolove's critically acclaimed "Broadway Diva" impressions on the last Friday of each month.
The show, written by Sakolove and Tony Award nominee Bill Russell has previously played
sold-out engagements at The Duplex and Joe's Pub.

In a desperate attempt to pay her rent, single-white-cabaret performer-comedienne-depressive Kristine Zbornik is back with a somewhat new and entirely unrehearsed show. With the assistance of Bobby Peaco, her trusty piano-playing, joke-writing 'straight' man, Kristine Zbornik's Open-Ended Depression will most certainly be a rehash of everything you've already seen before and much, much less. Performances are Todays at 9:30 beginning tonight, February 10th.

Acclaimed jazz recording star Jane Monheit is the latest 2012 BroadwayWorld.com Cabaret Award winner to join a star-studded performing lineup featuring fellow winners Ben Vereen and Marilyn Maye, composer Jason Robert Brown, as well as cabaret stars Billy Stritch, KT Sullivan, Karen Kohler, Jim Caruso, and Colleen McHugh. August Strindberg Repertory Theatre (www.strindberg.org), which was formed last year to illuminate Strindberg's plays for today's American audiences, will present Strindberg's 'Easter' (Pask, 1901) with an all-black cast, adapted and directed by Robert Greer, from March 8 to 31 at the Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street (East Village). The play has a similar complement of characters to Strindberg's 'Playing With Fire' (Leka med elden, 1893), with which the young company made an auspicious debut last Spring. Cast members from 'Playing With Fire' will be returning to play their corresponding roles in 'Easter.'
