MORMON BOY TRILOGY to Head Off-Broadway Following Bay Street Run

MORMON BOY TRILOGY, three solo plays written and performed by Outer Critics Circle Award Nominee Steven Fales and directed by Bay Street Theater's Artistic Director, Scott Schwartz, will play Bay Street this week in a special engagement.

CONFESSIONS OF A MORMON BOY Now In Rehearsal at Bay Street Theater

Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce that Confessions of a Mormon Boy, a special Mainstage Season bonus production, is now in rehearsal. Confessions of a Mormon Boy is written and performed by Outer Critics Circle Award Nominee Steven Fales and directed by Bay Street Theater's Artistic Director, Scott Schwartz. The one-man play will have five showings only from July 17 - July 22 and is Part 1 in Fales' new Mormon Boy Trilogy. Performances will be held on Tuesday, July 17 at 7 pm; Thursday, July 19 at 5 pm for a special Twilight Performance; Friday, July 20 at 8 pm; Saturday, July 21 at 5 pm for a second Twilight Performance; and Sunday, July 22 at 2 pm. Miami New Drama Announces It's 2018/2019 Season

Committed to producing new work that is reflective and inspired by the Magic City, these four productions include three world premieres commissioned by Miami New Drama, including the highly anticipated collaboration with Billy Corben on Cocaine Cowboys.

Carbonell Awards Announces Special Award Recipients And Scholarship Winners

As the South Florida theater community prepares for the 42nd  annual Carbonell Awards, the recipients of the prestigious George Abbott Award, Charlie Cinnamon Award, Howard Kleinberg Award  and Ruth Foreman Award, have been announced. These special award-winners will be recognized on stage during the evening's ceremony as their contributions are celebrated.

Gangsters, Gambling and Girls! The Wick Theatre Presents GUYS AND DOLLS

Considered the perfect musical comedy, Guys and Dolls, takes the stage at The Wick Theatre from March 9th through April 9th. Based on the short stories of Damon Runyon,  with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, Guys and Dolls won the Tony Award for Best Musical, ran for 1,200 performances on Broadway, and became an Oscar nominated film starring Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra. Legendary Publicist Charlie Cinnamon Dies at 94

First reported by the Miami Herald, legendary theatrical publicist Charlie Cinnamon has passed away at 94 years old. The paper reports that Cinnamon died Thursday morning, days short of his 95th birthday.

BWW Interview: Amazing Musician CORKY HALE Tells Us About I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU Opening Tonight at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre

The great musician Corky Hale needs no introduction. She and her husband composer Mike Stoller have worked with everyone in the music business including Sinatra and Steisand. She is currently producing a revue entitled I Only Have Eyes For You about the music of Al Dubin. It will open at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre Friday May 13. In our chat Hale talks about the show, Dubin and about her incomparable show business life.
