National Portrait Gallery Acquires DEATH MASK By Tracey Emin

The National Portrait Gallery has acquired Death Mask by artist Tracey Emin, it was announced today, Thursday 13 April 2017. The portrait has been purchased for £67, 500 with a contribution of £30,000 from the Art Fund, and further support from White Cube and the artist.

This is the world that Nils Taylor, Nicole Marie Johnson, and Laura Small created in their first feature film, Quarries - a horror film that taps into fear of the unknown and of the outdoors. The Santa Barbara International Film Festival to Honor Outstanding Contributions in Directing

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced today that Barry Jenkins, Damien Chazelle, Denis Villeneuve, and Kenneth Lonergan will receive the 2017 Outstanding Directors of the Year Award. They will each be celebrated individually for their films Moonlight, La La Land, Arrival, and Manchester by the Sea respectively. The individual honors will be followed by a joint conversation between the directors on their craft and the landscape of modern day filmmaking. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, February 7th at the historic Arlington Theatre.
