Explore the vivid history of America's largest Chinatown through the eyes of a new generation in Lauren Yee's King of the Yees - a Goodman Theatre-commissioned world premiere that was developed in the 2015 New Stages Festival. Yee's longtime collaborator Joshua Kahan Brody directs her offbeat and electric joy ride about living in the contemporary world while honoring one's rich ancestral heritage - and the conflict that ensues. Rivendell Theatre Ensemble Announces Casting for the World Premiere of THE FIREBIRDS TAKE THE FIELD

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, announces the world premiere of The Firebirds Take the Field by Lynn Rosen and directed by Jessica Fisch. The Firebirds Take the Fieldruns April 15 - May 20, 2017, at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, 5779 N. Ridge Avenue in Chicago.The Firebirds Take the Field is produced with support from the Alfred P. Sloane Foundation and Ensemble Studio Theater and is the second production of RTE's 2017 Season 'Exploring the Mind/Body Connection.'

Pivot Arts & Loyola University Announce 2017 Arts Incubator Program

Pivot Arts and Loyola University's Department of Fine and Performing Arts (DFPA) are pleased to announce the fifth year of their performing arts incubator program for professional artists that includes mentorships for Loyola undergraduates. The program provides ensembles and artists time and space to develop original work that is innovative, collaborative and often blurs the boundaries between music, dance, theater and other disciplines. Students work alongside professional artists on each project.

Pivot Arts is pleased to announce the world premiere of THE MEMORY TOUR, a site-specific performance experience structured as a tour in Chicago's Edgewater and Uptown neighborhoods. Audience members take a journey through the world of memory with a unique blend of live performances, an interactive app, videotaped interviews of memories, and more. Conceived by Julieanne Ehre and Tanya Palmer and directed by Julieanne Ehre. THE MEMORY TOUR, includes written works by Isaac Gomez, Brett Neveu and Tanya Palmer. From an early childhood memory to a first romance, participants will be immersed in world of others people's memories - and through devised moments, be prompted to connect with their own pasts. 

Full Cast Set for World Premiere of PILGRIM'S PROGRESS at A Red Orchid Theatre

A Red Orchid Theatre announces full cast, creative team and new run dates for the World Premiere of Pilgrim's Progress by Ensemble Member Bret Neveu (The Opponent), directed by Ensemble Member Shade Murray (Mud Blue Sky, Accidentally like a Martyr).  Pilgrim's Progress will now run November 4-December 13, 2015 and feature Ensemble Members Kirsten Fitzgerald and Michael Shannon with Ryan Bourque (The Hypocrite's All Our Tragic) and Charlotte Mae Ellison (Writers Theatre's The Diary of Anne Frank).

Pivot Arts Festival Sets 2015 Lineup

Pivot Arts has announced the full line-up for the 3rd annual PIVOT ARTS FESTIVAL, featuring dozens of innovative performances and events throughout Chicago's Uptown and Edgewater neighborhoods from May 28 - June 7, 2015.
