Pivot Arts Presents LIVE TALK: The Sadness Show
Pivot Arts winter LIVE TALK Series continues with its popular Valentine's Day alternative The Sadness Show on Wednesday, February 15 at 7:30 pm at Uncommon Ground, 1401 W. Devon Ave. in Chicago. Hosted by actress Karen Rodriguez, this year's Sad Story contest includes popular Chicago playwrights and performers Theo Allyn, Sandra Delgado, Bonnie Metzgar and Tanya Palmer reading their own works, as well as actor William Von Vogt, who reads a story by Chicago playwright, Philip Dawkins. Playwright Brett Neveu leads audience volunteers in Sad Karaoke and actress Carolyn Hoedermann performs the Pivot DIY, a demo on how to cry on cue.
Tickets for LIVE TALK, priced at $12, are available at www.pivotarts.org/events. Doors open at 7 pm; performances begin at 7:30 pm. Food and drink for purchase.
