Ryan Duncan-Ayala's RDA Producing, in collaboration with A STAR IS BORED PODCAST, is announcing the cast of and we will eat your grief by Abraham Johnson directed by Annika Perez-Krikorian, Assistant Directed and Dramaturged by Anna Zabel. The cast includes 24 Hour Plays: Nationals alumni Ekemini Ekpo, Alex Michell, and Jessica Natalie Smith.

Syracuse Stage is one of only a few theatres across the country currently producing stage productions. The first production of their mainstage season is Talley’s Folly under the always superb and detailed direction of Syracuse Stage’s Artistic Director Robert Hupp. This fully staged production of Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play has been filmed and is now available to patrons online through video on demand streaming.

Dayton Live is pleased to announce that Yes, Virginia, the Rike's Holiday windows will be on display for the public this holiday season – with restrictions and cautionary procedures in keeping with Montgomery County Health Department and CDC guidelines. The newly redesigned windows were revealed last season for the enjoyment of families from all over the Miami Valley.

The Breakdown with Robbie, a popular theater industry podcast, releases it's 20th episode on Monday, November 2nd with two time Tony Award- winner and member of the Theater Hall of Fame, Joe Mantello (The Boys in the Band, Wicked).

This November, the Department of Theatre and Dance will feature a new play by FSU Theatre alum Keenan Scott II titled Social Media Massacre. As part of the New Works Incubator Project, Scott will workshop and develop his script with six actors over a two-week period, culminating in a virtual reading for an online audience.

Juliana Canfield, Kathryn Hahn, Emily Kinney, Sahr Ngaujah, and Joel Perez join the cast of the previously announced Act Out: Vote2020, a very special event to get out the vote.

Tony Award-nominated playwright, actress, and activist Danai Gurira, two-time Tony Award-winning director Stephen Daldry, and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage will present a very special event to get out the vote – Act Out: Vote2020, a series of short, all new monologues and songs that will make up an hour-long video encouraging audiences to vote in the upcoming elections.

Syracuse Stage has announced that Herman Frazier, senior deputy director of athletics, Syracuse University, has assumed the role of board president; Nancy Green, managing member, Edward S. Green & Associates, LLC, has taken the position of board chair; and Amir Rahnamay-Azar, senior vice president for business, finance and administrative services and chief financial officer, Syracuse Univesity, is the new board treasurer. In addition to Frazier, Green and Rahnamay-Azar, the board welcomes two new trustees. Frazier replaces outgoing board president Bethaida “Bea” González, who will remain on the board as a trustee.

Syracuse Stage and their re-imagined 20/21 season brings a real and raw original play beautifully written and directed by Dr. Juhanna Rogers titled A Gatherin' Place. The show highlights local Black women telling their own stories. It was filmed at Syracuse Stage's Archbold Theatre and is available for free streaming. The emotional and powerful play is performed by members of the Auburn based community theater, The Harriet Tubman Troupe. Each woman delivers her role with such real and raw emotion in this intriguing story of being unapologetically, a Black woman.

This 2020/2021 season at Syracuse Stage is obviously starting out a little different than usual as theaters all over are adapting to how they present stories to their audiences. Syracuse Stage opens its season with two productions available online (both free of charge). Syracuse Stage has partnered with more than 75 theaters across the country to broadcast a radio adaptation, produced by Berkeley Repertory, of Sinclair Lewis’ 1930s politically charged novel It Can’t Happen Here.

The Cherry Artistsa?? Collective will present the English-language World Premiere of A Day, written by Québecoise playwright, Gabrielle Chapdelaine, translated by Josephine George. Live performances are directed by Wendy Dann with video mise en scène directed by Samuel Buggeln.

Syracuse Stage doubles down on the 2020/2021 season with two productions available online beginning next week.

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC), under the leadership of Artistic Director Andrew Borba and Managing Director Sarah Clare Corporandy, today announced the appointment of Stori Ayers as Associate Artistic Director.

On Tuesday, October 13 a radio production of Sinclair Lewis' novel It Can't Happen Here will broadcast at 5PM PDT/8PM EDT via YouTube. Written in 1935 during the rise of fascism in Europe, Lewis' darkly satirical It Can't Happen Here follows the ascent of a demagogue who becomes president of the United States by promising to return the country to greatness.  

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley is now streaming Jeanne Sakata's Hold These Truths, filmed during the 2018 TheatreWorks production. Presented as part of TheatreWorks's online initiative Voices of Democracy which encourages audiences to a?oeget out the votea?? and stand up for racial justice, Hold These Truths shares the story of a Japanese American who passionately defends his Constitutional rights against an unexpected adversary: his own country.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today has announced that nearly 100 organizations nationwide are onboard to share the free radio play, It Can't Happen Here. The new audio adaptation will premiere on Tuesday, October 13 at 5pm PT/8pm ET, followed by a live Q&A with the creative team, director Lisa Peterson & co-adaptors Tony Taccone & Bennett S. Cohen.

Nationally recognized poets Joshua Bennett, Rachel Hadas, Linda Gregerson, David Yezzi and Charles Martin bring their poetry to Central New York via the new online series from Syracuse Stage, a?oePoetry & Play.a??

Pittsburgh Public Theater will join theaters across the nation to help spread the word about Berkeley Rep's YouTube radio production of Sinclair Lewis' novel It Can't Happen Here on Tuesday, October 13 at 8pm ET.
