Gingold Theatrical Group Continues 14th Season of Project Shaw, Art as Activism: A Theatrical Survival Guide

Gingold Theatrical Group (David Staller, Artistic Director) will continue the 14th Season of Project Shaw, Art as Activism: A Theatrical Survival Guide, a special series of evenings of plays that embrace human rights and free speech. All of GTG's programming, inspired by the works of George Bernard Shaw, are designed to provoke peaceful discussion and activism.

Tiffany Mills Company Will Present World Premiere of NOT THEN, NOT YET at The Flea Theater

Tiffany Mills Company returns to The Flea Theater with the world premiere of Not then, not yet, an evening-length work that explores states of transition and transformation. Performances are Wednesdaya?"Saturday, November 13a?"16, at 7pm. The Flea Theater is located at 20 Thomas Street (between Church Street and Broadway), in Manhattan.

GVO Will Present its Annual Holiday Concert

The Greenwich Village Orchestra (GVO) presents its annual holiday concert, led by Music Director Barbara Yahr and Associate Conductor Eric Mahl, on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 3:00pm at All Saints Church. The concert's theme is Partnerships and Collaboration and features a side-by-side performance with student musicians from the 3rd Street Music School. The family-friendly program opens with Vivaldi's Flute Concerto in E-minor, with the GVO's own Simon Dratfield as soloist. The students from 3rd Street Music School join the GVO for Karl Jenkins' Palladio. Next, Eric Mahl leads the orchestra in the March from Prokofiev's Love for Three Oranges. Young violinist Ben Lerman performs the first movement of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D-major. The concert concludes with the finale of Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherezade, featuring the high school students from the 3rd Street Music School.

59E59 Theaters to Present US Premiere of MAZ AND BRICKS

59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) will welcome the return of Ireland's leading new play company Fishamble: The New Play Company with the US premiere of MAZ AND BRICKS, written by Eva O'Connor and directed by Jim Culleton. Part of Origin's 1st Irish, MAZ AND BRICKS begins performances on Tuesday, January 7 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 2.

New Amsterdam Singers Perform Frank Martin's MASS FOR DOUBLE CHORUS

New Amsterdam Singers, led by Music Director Clara Longstreth, will launch its 2019a?"20 season with A Century of A Cappella Gems, anchored by a major work, the Mass for a cappella double chorus by the Swiss composer Frank Martin (1890-1974). The two concerts will be performed Friday, December 13, 2019, at 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. at Broadway Presbyterian Church, 114th Street and Broadway.

DANCERS DEMAND ACTION a Benefit For Mom's Demand Action For Gun Sense In America Is Coming To The Joyce

'DANCERS DEMAND ACTION,' a dance performance aligning art with activism, will take place at The Joyce Theater on November 11 at 7:30pm. The show is a collaboration between nine New York-based dance companies who are volunteering their time and creative energies to enable a portion of the proceeds to support Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a partner organization of Everytown for Gun Safety.

Victoria Bond's Opera CLARA Opens In New York

On Friday, November 8 and Sunday, November 10, the German Forum presents Victoria Bond's acclaimed opera about Clara Schumann, performed in concert. Clara will be performed at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2537 Broadway at 95th St., New York, NY 10025) on November 8 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $30 and are available at this link.

Tori Scott Debuts VODKA IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON At Broward Center

Producer Mark Cortale and The Broward Center will present the South Florida debut of Tori Scott, named a?oeThe Bette Midler of the new millenniuma?? by Provincetown Magazine and among the Top 10 Cabaret Performers in NYC by Time Out New York, with her holiday show Vodka Is The Reason For The Season on November 30.
