NJPAC and NAACP Presents Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Awards

NJPAC and the Newark Branch of the NAACP salute the spirit of the nation's most beloved civil rights leader at the Arts Center's 24th annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Awards on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 6PM. The event will be streamed live on NJPAC's Facebook page.

Wild Swan Theater Presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Wild Swan Theater presents Charles Dickens' classic holiday story, A Christmas Carol, December 5th through December 8th at Towsley Auditorium, Washtenaw Community College.  The company's version is filled with traditional carols and has been especially adapted from the Dickens' original for family audiences by Co-Artistic Director Hilary Cohen, who also directs the production.

Nationally acclaimed Wild Swan Theater concludes its 39th season of bringing the finest in professional theater to area families with Charlotte's Web May 1-5, 2019.   Possibly one of the most popular American children's stories today, Charlotte's Web tells the story of a very special friendship between a baby pig, Wilbur, and a spider, Charlotte, and how she weaves magical words in her web to save Wilbur's life.

Wild Swan Theater Presents THE WIZARD OF OZ

To top off its 38th season, Wild Swan Theater will present an original musical adaptation of L. Frank Baum's much loved fantasy, The Wizard of Oz. Join Dorothy as she travels the yellow brick road to the fabled Emerald City with her new friends the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman and the Cowardly Lion. Talented playwright Jeff Duncan, known throughout the region for both his adult and children's plays, was more than up to the challenge of creating this special production just for Wild Swan. Brian E. Buckner has written whimsical and lively music to go with the 13 original songs created especially for this production.

Spotlighters Theatre Presents I HATE HAMLET this February

A young and successful television actor relocates to New York, where he rents a marvelous, gothic apartment. With his television career in limbo, the actor is offered the opportunity to play Hamlet onstage, but there's one problem: He hates Hamlet. His dilemma deepens with the entrance of John Barrymore's ghost, who arrives intoxicated and in full costume to the apartment that once was his.
