Mayor Gavin Newsom proclaimed 'A WICKED Day in San Francisco,' welcoming the international phenomenon back to the city where it had its world premiere. At a special Homecoming Party in Union Square, WICKED Producer David Stone accepted a proclamation from Luis Cancel, Director of Cultural Affairs for the City and County of San Francisco on behalf of Mayor Newsom. Producer David Stone was in San Francisco for the Homecoming as tickets went on sale for the open-ended engagement of WICKED, which begins performances at the Orpheum Theatre January 27, 2009. He was joined by cast members performing in Union Square for a group of enthusiastic fans.

Behind the Emerald Curtain, the exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the Broadway smash WICKED, will welcome original cast members Norbert Leo Butz and Michelle Federer on Saturday, September 27. Due to a scheduling conflict, the previously announced Eden Espinosa will be a guest on a future date TBD.

Behind the Emerald Curtain, the exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the Broadway smash WICKED, will enter its 4th Season this fall. The tour, which lasts 90 minutes and is run by former and current members of the Broadway company, is given every Saturday morning at 10:00am at the Gershwin Theatre (222 W. 51st Street.). Tickets are $25 and are available for purchase on www.Ticketmaster.com/wicked and at the Gershwin Theatre box office. Groups of 20 or more can buy tickets for $23 each.

SPRING AWAKENING, the smash hit rock musical and winner of eight 2007 Tony Awards including Best Musical is now playing San Francisco's Curran Theatre through Sunday, Oct. 12. $40 RUSH tickets will be available for all performances except Saturday evening. These special RUSH tickets can be purchased on the day of performance only and are available when the box office opens at either the Curran Theatre Box Office (445 Geary Street) or the Orpheum Theatre Box Office (1192 Market Street at 8th). The rush tickets are available to anyone, with a limit of two tickets per person. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Some restrictions may apply and tickets are subject to availability. This offer is not valid on previously purchased tickets.

SHN is pleased to announce that tickets for the international phenomenon WICKED go on sale Friday, September 26, 2008 at 10 AM. WICKED returns home to San Francisco for an extended engagement beginning Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Orpheum Theatre. In conjunction with tickets going on sale, a very special free fan appreciation homecoming party will take place on Friday, September 26 in Union Square. The event will be hosted by Don Bleu from Star Radio and Jessica Aguirre from NBC TV and will also feature performances from the show.

Spring Awakening: In The Flesh , arrives in bookstores this month and to celebrate the arrival, the books author David Cote was joined by the show's Tony Award-Winners Steven Sater (Book & Lyrics) and Duncan Sheik (Music) on Monday, September 15 and had an informative 'conversation' - on the show, the music and its long-running success at The Barnes & Noble Store at the Lincoln Triangle (1972 Broadway @ 66th Street). In addition, cast members from Spring Awakening including Hunter Parrish and Alexandra Socha performed select numbers from the show. Following the presentation the cast and creative team signed copies of the new book, and the Spring Awakening original cast recording.
