The Tony and two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) will continue its popular VINEYARD VOICES program which began last season-a series of discussions with leading artists associated with The Vineyard-with three programs in the fall, starting with "LAW & ORDER AND THE STAGE" on Sunday, October 24 at 6:30 p.m.

The 24th Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS $476,917, beating the 2009 total of $403,929. On Monday, March 21st, 2011 at 8:00 PM, for the 5th Smash Year, will be The Broadway Beauty Pageant, which is a benefit for The Ali Forney Center NYC's primary emergency housing resource for homeless LGBT youth. The annual event will again be at the Peter Norton Symphony Space. 2537 Broadway (at 95th Street). Conceived by Jeffery Self and directed by Ryan J. Davis, The Broadway Beauty Pageant is musically directed by Christopher Denny. The evening is produced by Wil Fisher, Ryan J. Davis, Jeffrey Self and Matthew Oberstein. Michelle Federer (Wicked's Original Broadway Nessarose) spent Sunday, September 19th, mentoring the young talent of Broadway's future as she led a Wicked-themed master class with Broadway Artists Alliance of New York City. Federer inspired, as she skillfully guided a master class in 'Song Interpretation' to a group of eager and talented young performers ages 10 to 21. Students also spent time on cold readings and scene study utilizing scenes from Wicked. Michelle's morning class was followed by an advanced audition technique workshop with a top casting representative from Telsey and Co. Casting.

Last night, Monday, May 10, The New Group opened their latest production of The Kid. This marks the final production in The New Group's current 2009-2010 season, which featured Kenneth Lonergan's The Starry Messenger and most recently, the hit revival of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind, directed by Ethan Hawke. The Kid plays a limited Off-Broadway engagement through May 29 at The New Group @ Theatre Row. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the opening night after party arrivals.

The New Group's production of 'The Kid' officially opens May 6. Previews for the show began Saturday, April 10.
