'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' continues its climb up the worldwide box office, crossing $500 million globally. The film, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM), has thus far grossed an estimated $160.5 million domestically and $343.5 million internationally, for a worldwide estimated total of $504 million and growing.

On the heels of its #1 openings around the globe, 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' has surpassed $300 million at the worldwide box office after seven days in release. The film, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM), has taken in an estimated $104.6 million domestically and $213.6 million internationally, for a worldwide estimated total to date of $318.2 million, including $23 million from IMAX theatres worldwide.
Warner Bros. Pictures' GRAVITY Has Fast Climb to $100 Million Worldwide

It was number one at the US box office this weekend, and now Variety has confirmed that Gravity is coming to China, according to the Beijing News. The film has JUST received approval from the Film Bureau which must approve the screening of foreign films in the nation, and because of an annual quota, it was believed the film was far from a lock.

One of the most talked about hits of the summer, New Line Cinema's 'The Conjuring' has surpassed $100 million at the domestic box office on only its third weekend in theatres, it was announced today by Dan Fellman, President, Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures. The film crossed the $100 million mark on Saturday, August 3, and has earned an estimated $108.6 million domestically to date, and still climbing.

'Edge of Tomorrow' has been announced as the title of the upcoming sci-fi thriller starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, directed by Doug Liman and based on the book All You Need is Kill. The movie, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures, is set for release on June 6, 2014, and the first look at footage from the film will be unveiled by the Studio at this year's International Comic-Con: San Diego on Saturday, July 20. Warner Bros. Entertainment today announced a new leadership team to run Warner Bros. Pictures Group, capitalizing on the proven strengths of a number of longtime Studio executives. Sue Kroll will now serve as President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures; Greg Silverman will now serve as President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, Warner Bros. Pictures; and Toby Emmerich will continue as President and COO, New Line Cinema, while adding responsibility for Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures. The announcement was made today by Kevin Tsujihara, CEO, Warner Bros., to whom all three executives will report.

Hosted by Nicole Sullivan, the award ceremony was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. In Los Angeles. Presenters included Anna Kendrick, Jeremy Renner, Armie Hammer, Jean Smart, Nat Faxon, Atticus Shaffer, Michael Hoffman, and Cedric the Entertainer. The New York ceremony was canceled due to Hurricane Sandy.
