ELF THE MUSICAL Based on Hit Movie Comes to Community Center Theater

NETworks Presentations, LLC is pleased to announce casting for the Broadway Sacramento engagement of ELF THE MUSICAL. The show will play Nov. 6 - 15 at the Community Center Theater.

BSL Enterprises, LLC and MSG Entertainment announced today casting for the upcoming holiday production of ELF The Musical, which will play the Theater at Madison Square Garden as part of the 2015 national tour for a limited three week engagement from December 9 through December 27, 2015. The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus, will present stage Malloy's musical adaptation of an excerpt from Leo Tolstoy's monumental novel War and Peace, directed by Rachel Chavkin, with choreography by Sam Pinkleton.

The 5th Avenue Theatre presents the sweeping new musical, WATERFALL, featuring Laura Griffith (Broadway: Sweet Smell of Success, The Light in the Piazza), Thom Sesma (Broadway: The Times They are A-Changin', Man of La Mancha), J. Elaine Marcos (Broadway: Annie, Priscilla Queen of the Desert), and Thai pop superstar Bie Sukrit. The production officially opens tonight, October 15.

Carnegie Hall today announced that it has cast three lead actors for its upcoming production of West Side Story, to be presented in three performances only on March 4, 5, and 6, 2016 at the Knockdown Center, a restored factory in Queens.

Alley Theatre Sets Cast, Creative Team of THE OTHER PLACE

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for The Other Place. Josie de Guzman leads the cast as Juliana Smithton, a neurologist whose research leads to a potential breakthrough for a new treatment. Just as it does, her life takes a disorienting turn. During a lecture to colleagues, she enters into a mystery that blurs fact with fiction, the past with the present, until the elusive truth is unraveled in a windswept cottage on the shores of Cape Cod. The Other Place, by Sharr White and directed by Don Stephenson, begins previews October 23 and opens October 28, with performances continuing through November 15, 2015.

Tony Award winning musical Grey Gardens, which opened on Broadway in 2006, is a superb creation. Chiefly speaking here about the incarnation at Bay Street Theatre, this is truly a special event for countless reasons. Among them is the fact that the theatre, based in Sag Harbor, is only around 8 miles from the infamous house, so this truly hits home for them. Another of the many reasons is the remarkable cast.

Various NYC casting offices and members of the entertainment industry will be participating in the August 8th edition of SCENES AND SONGS FOR SCHOOL SUPPLIES.  Coordinated by various members of the Casting Society of America, SCENES… is a charity event to benefit First Day NY (http://www.firstdayny.org/), a 501c3 organization that works to make sure children living in NYC shelters have everything they need to get a great start on their first day of school.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the success of the premiere concert reading of the first act of DreamWorks Theatricals new stage adaptation of The Prince of Egypt which was part of Bay Street Theater's 24th Annual Summer Gala which took place in Sag Harbor at the Long Wharf on July 11, 2015 to benefit Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. ThePrince of Egypt features book by Philip LaZebnik (writer of Mulan, Pocahontas) and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked,Pippin, Godspell); both creators attended the Gala. Bay Street's Artistic Director Scott Schwartz directed the reading, Dominic Amendum was Musical Director, and casting was by Stewart/Whitley.
