ELF THE MUSICAL Based on Hit Movie Comes to Community Center Theater

NETworks Presentations, LLC is pleased to announce casting for the Broadway Sacramento engagement of ELF THE MUSICAL. The show will play Nov. 6 - 15 at the Community Center Theater.

Based on the beloved 2003 New Line Cinema hit, ELF features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone). The production will feature direction by Sam Scalamoni and choreography by Connor Gallagher. Casting by Stewart/Whitley

ELF is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy's enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. This modern day Christmas classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner ELF.

The New York Times says that ELF is "A SPLASHY, PEPPY, SUGAR-SPRINKLED HOLIDAY ENTERTAINMENT!" USA Today calls ELF "ENDEARINGLY GOOFY!" Variety proclaims, "ELF is happy enough for families, savvy enough for city kids and plenty smart for adults!"

The cast will feature Daniel Patrick Smith (Buddy), Maggie Anderson (Jovie), Harper Brady (Michael), Ken Clement (Santa), Michael Fisher (Store Manager), Drew Martin (Mr. Greenway), Gabrielle Mirabella (Emily), Audra Qualley (Deb), Nicky Torchia (Michael), and D. Scott Withers (Walter).

The cast will also include Joseph Fierberg, Spencer Glass, Shane Hurst, Ashleigh Junio, Erin Kei, Caitlin Lester-Sams, Tyler Logan, Katie Lomardo, Nicole Pavone, Emily Jeanne Phillips, Benjamin Rivera, Brandon Stonestreet, Jake Swain, and Mia Wienberger.

DANIEL PATRICK SMITH (Buddy) is beyond excited to be back on the road with ELF! Recent credits include: Little Shop of Horrors (Orin and others); Brady vs. Partridge: The Brady Bunch (Greg Brady); The Tempest (Ferdinand); Twelfth Night (Malvolio); Panic! The Musical (Orson Welles); Honestly Abe (Abraham Lincoln). Training: NYU Tisch School of the Arts - CAP21 and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. MAGGIE ANDERSON (Jovie) After playing the title role of Peter Pan this summer in California she is thrilled to be back on tour with ELF for a second year. Recent NYC/LA credits include Lysistrata Jones (Lysistarta Jones), Anyone Can Whistle (Fay Apple), Seussical (Gertrude Mcfuzz), Peter Pan (Peter Pan), Bye Bye Birdie (Kim Mcafee), Smokey Joe's Café (Shimmy girl).
