The Board of Trustees of the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) just announced that the theater's annual gala Boundless, which was held at the Boston Park Plaza Castle on Monday, March 2, with close to 500 supporters from around the country in attendance raised more than $1,000,000 in support of the theater's artistic, community, and education programs.

Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA welcomed actress and reality television sensation NeNe Leakes (THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA) to the cast starting November 25, as she stepped into the role of Cinderella's wicked stepmother 'Madame'. CINDERELLA will conclude its triumphant 2-year run on January 3. The show will have played 41 preview and 770 regular performances when it closes. On May 12th company members from the national tour of The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess presented Inspired By Love: The Music of Brett Macias Upstairs at Vitellos, benefiting Artists Striving to End Poverty (ASTEP). Inspired By Love featured selections from composer Brett Macias's musicals Gumbo, Beautiful Dreamer, and Beneath the Surface as well as a world premiere song cycle based on the love sonnets of Pablo Neruda. Pumpkin Theatre continues our 46th Season 'Discovering New Friendships Through Familiar Tales' with Seussical Jr. Follow the musical adventure of Horton, an elephant who one day hears voices coming from a speck of dust and spends the rest of his days protecting his new friends from WhoVille. The Cat in the Hat, Mayzie, Getrude McFuzz, The Wickersham Brothers, Jo Jo and more all join in on this mash up of Dr Seuss' favorite tales. Part of our 'Kids for Kids' series, this show will feature younger actors working with Pumpkin Artists to present a professional Main Stage Production. Performances take place today, February 8, 9, 15, & 16.
