Celebration Theatre has announced a one night only benefit event - Portrait Of An Artist: An Evening With Linda Lavin, featuring Lavin's husband and artist Steve Bakunas, tonight, February 1 at the Atwater Village Theatre in Los Angeles. The curtain rises at 8pm, and proceeds from the evening will go to support Celebration Theatre.

Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) will celebrate its annual Gala on March 27, 2014 at BB King's Blues Club in Times Square, hosted by the vivacious singer, band leader, and multiple MAC Award winner, Terese Genecco. The gala will be produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts, the current MAC President.

The Tony Award-winning actress Linda Lavin will return to the Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) - where she created the role of Rita Lyons in Nicky Silver's acclaimed comedy THE LYONS in 2012 - in Mr. Silver's newest work, TOO MUCH SUN, with previews set to begin May 1, 2014 prior to an official opening on May 20. Mark Brokaw, who directed THE LYONS - including the play's recent celebrated debut in London - directs TOO MUCH SUN.

For one night only, stage and screen star Linda Lavin brought POSSIBILITIES to Barrington Stage Company, with Billy Stritch on the piano. Featuring an eclectic mix of Broadway standards and cabaret songs, Tony and Golden Globe-winning actress Linda Lavin's new cabaret shows you why Stephen Holden of The New York Times calls her "…a human tornado who lets nothing stand in her way…She has a jazz side, can swing and scat and even growl like Louis Armstrong, and displays a special fondness for Brazilian bossa nova."

Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd Artistic Director and TriStan Wilson Managing Director, presents the Bernstein/Comden/Green musical On the Town now through July 13 on the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, 30 Union Street, Pittsfield. Jazz at Lincoln Center payed tribute to cabaret icon Bobby Short, with host James Naughton on May 15, and Michael Feinstein on May 16. Music Director Tedd Firth exhibits Short's signature songs alongside some of today's brightest stars of cabaret and Broadway, including guest vocalists Paula West, T. There's a new girl in town this January when Tony and Golden Globe winner Linda Lavin takes to our stage for four encore performances of Now, the show she debuted on our stage in September that had audiences demanding more! New York audiences remember her from It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Broadway Bound, Collected Stories, The Diary of Anne Frank, Gypsy, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, and many others, and the world over knows her as Alice Hyatt in the long-running hit TV series Alice. A veteran of the cabaret stage, Linda began her career playing such NYC nightspots as The Showplace in Greenwich Village and midtown's Downstairs at the Upstairs. Recently, Linda released her very first CD, Possibilities.
