HRH The Prince of Wales honoured a number of outstanding figures in international musical life on Wednesday 14 May at the RCM's Annual Awards ceremony.

Life is full of challenges and obstacles and it takes great strength of character to overcome them. In the 'Mission of Martin O'Shea' the author John Stephens has created a story that shows how humans can exhibit nobility and evil in the worst of times.

EchoLight Studios announced today that their upcoming holiday film THE CHRISTMAS CANDLE will come to the big screen for audiences nationwide today, November 22. The movie is based on the book by international bestselling author, Max Lucado, and is a timeless holiday tale for the entire family.

Winter Opera Saint Louis kicks off its seventh season Friday, November 8th (8pm) and Sunday, November 10th (3pm) with Charles Gounod's FAUST, sponsored by Morgan Stanley. Based upon Goethe's tragedy and Michel Carre's play, the story has become iconic: Mephistopheles entices the disillusioned philosopher Faust with the opportunity to have his every desire on earth…in exchange for his soul. Faust's decision threatens to destroy his community, especially his true love, Marguerite. Gounod's score abounds with some of opera's greatest gems, including Valentin's "Avant de quitter ces lieux," Faust's "Salut! demeure chaste et pure," and Marguerite's famous Jewel Song "Ah! Je ris de me voir!"

NYC and Tokyo-based clarinetist, Thomas Piercy performs two concerts of new music by contemporary Japanese composers based on their thoughts about NYC and works by non-Japanese composers influenced or inspired by Japan. The concerts will be visually backed by projections of photos of New York City by photographer Christina Boers and photos of Tokyo by Thomas Piercy. Many of the pieces have been composed for and premiered by Mr. Piercy. Several of the pieces include the combination of Western classical instruments with traditional Japanese instruments (shakuhachi and hichiriki).
